You have a good point. I went threw this recently. However you can add the leftover gear to sub city generals if you don’t have full sets then the recoup the loss on debuffs!

Good video with good advice, as always, but there's one major flaw I've noticed. Doing the additional research is certainly good advice, but it doesn't help fill the gaps. The additional research simply raises the baseline on top of which the gear is added. In other words, while your buffs are certainly better with the research, the differences between the Achaemenidae and Civilization gear are still the same.

Grate video. Its not specific to just a wall general though. Ive spent a ton of time explaining to people that they need to pay attention when mixing gears. you need to compare both the adds and the losses for what you are doing.

Nice video man, definately food for thought. I don't fully agree nor disagree with your thoughts on this, especially the bracers vs Acha ring. One big factor to consider is the fact that(although this should be an obvious statement) We all play a different Evony, when it comes to our pvp experiences. For small power alliances, newer players, etc, that 5% siege range bonus probably will go unnoticed. But if you are a higher power alliance, and your battlefields end up having tougher opponents, siege fighting becomes a real factor, and that 5% can make a big difference, especially when defending rallies. Even the statement of "defending rallies" varies for everyone lol. I have a buddy who is in a different alliance in my server( in continent 4) and we share our battlefield reports all the time. He was stoked in showing me he defended against an archer rally, and was laughing that the leader set the rally with Himiko. My buddy at this time was a k35 around 1.7b mainly t1 trap. Funny enough, when he shared me the report, I noticed it was from you 😂 I was like " hey that's aka! I watch his videos" lol... But the point is defending against a 3-5man archer rally, consisting of lowish/medium buffs isn't the same as defending a 20-30m+ rally of buffs in the 2k+ range; and in the higher tier archer rallies, your t10 siege actually does a lot of work, and if you look up the range bonus of t9/10, and multiply that by 15% and multiply it by 10%(koryo vs Acha), the range bonus difference ends up being over 80, which could even be the difference of being able to attack 1 round sooner and whatnot

It's all based on how you build your keep.. stats are very important but Good defence layering is just as important too. KingSingh Said it the best, there's no such as thing a good or bad wall general. Meaning you pick a wall general based on what you plan to build for a defence layer. This stat augment may not make sense to you but to someone and what they may have in their keep, it's perfect!

No Civ gear for me, i will be satisfied with Aka gear once I get a full set of scrolls. I will work on my technology (today is city development and gold consuming AND research speedup consuming, so a great day to do this). And what the Blazons?! I get 1000% Archer attack debuff already, with just ares/ach gear in my subs and k38 and tank rallies very well because of the extra siege range. I would happily sacrifice the extra debuff for siege range. Many times I go positive on siege bombs where I don't think it would be possible without matching the siege range of the enemy.

Great indeed and that's also applied for attacking I have 1 civ gear only but decided to go with 2 achm gears to get benefit of the set attributes As F2P I need to consider these things

Don't forget you can save up badges you get from the alliance boss and get a random piece of civ gear from the freedom set or koryo set (im not sure if it is always from those sets) in the alliance boss shop.

What is more valuable for an attacking monster general: march size or Defense against monsters? What does being a better chance to kill/less wounded? I see this video was made a year ago, but i have a suggestion what about putting all positive buffs +'s on your main wall general and all debuffs -'s on his/her assistant that way you have a nice division of labor

For a low level low power coiner you have a good point However should they have more power and specifically more siege the range bonus 5 percent difference will make them vulnerable to siege solos and rallies

The champions are a great souce of buffs and debuffs. I am surprised you don't have Helen to 20, I have her at 19, working on others at the moment. At level 5 she has +40 on City troops Defense and HP and attack. Level 20 gets a -20 debuff of all troops attacks. Esmeralda will be +60 when I get her to level 5.

I always kept 2 ares gear, helm and pants, as for ground HP debuff im not too concerned since ground has a lot of flat HP to begin with, so I always focused on ground defense debuff IMO.

Unfortunately once it's been done its too expensive to go back from. The alternative is to let two pieces of civ gear sit wasted and go back to achae. Can't do much else. Just have to live with it.

That's why I don't try to get civ gear. I need all the help I can get. So I'll stick with what I have. I don't have the money to get the whole set.

I disagree with you. the siege range is a must to defend against other siege bombs, The ground defense vs ranged attack debuff is a close trade. the -15 all attack and the +15 to your troops all attack is a close trade. the civ gear has higher percent refines. The 30 percent mounted buff means nothing to me as i use T1s with flats.

How about using Mark Antony as assistant wall general? 35% range attack debuff

When your defense general have a weakness.. try to fill that gap with your t1.. example.. that rage attack gap.. can be up with your t1 archers..

Yeah, but then you move those to your sub city general and still have the debuffs You only really lose the buffs.

Hi bro, what do you think about Abbas Bracers instead? It also has the added siege range. But, in addition it comes with a lot of good debuffs that might offset losing the debuff from 6 piece Acha set.

Hi Aka, I have a question...I noticed that when you showed your blazons one of your level 10s was marching troop HP, but on the defending set, does the marching troop HP actually work when it's on the defending set?

lol i dont agree with you. 15% add more sieges range is most important here. sieges + cav is best meta for defend but if you did not have 15% sieges range you will be kill easy with sieges solo. test it when defend big guys they have strong sieges lol

Thanks for the great information. I have a number of questions. I upgraded some of my Achaemenidae armor and weapons on my wall general equipment to Parthian. Does this lose me my set buff? Do I get it back if I upgrade everything to Parthian? I assume you were talking about an Achaemenidae set buff just like the Civ set buff. Yes? Second does dragon equipment also have a set buff? Or were you just talking about coverage of all the equipmentt? And not a set buff? Thanks so much.. I have one general that has a mux of ares and Ach. Tuned to that generals speciality.
