Been thinking lately that frustration is really a disconnect with someone - when you don't have that connection it is frustrating. How to find that connection when the automatic response is the frustration, anger, resentment - ? (Or did I learn that from you?) It is a hard habit to break and really the crux of the frustration. I respect a person more when they bring the issues to the front of the class - knowing it is a hard step to take, so courageous.

Absolutely something we are working on in our organization. It can be as simple as facilitating the conversation so everyone feels safe sharing their feelings. As humans we get in our heads about how others treat us, but are not always willing to ask the "why".

It's true, we totally do. Having and facilitating productive convos to have everyone feel listened to is always worth it:)

It's such a hard lesson to internalize. The things we fear will happen if we have the conversation are almost guaranteed to happen if we don't. I know that I must force myself through short term pain for long-term gain.

Yep, addressing it almost always goes better than we think it will, especially if we approach it in a kind, calm way. And certainly always creates a better outcome than leaving it unresolved.
