it is my duty to click on the most authentic 2000s windows movie maker-level lyric videos when listening to 2000s music. nothing but respect for this time capsule.
The singer that defined a generation of teenagers, she sings what we feel and that's why we identify so much with her music. the childhood of millennials who grew up in the early 2000's, so many people have memories attached to this song me included, chilling with my friends with this song player in the car :')
I've always considered it a song with also a special feeling. When i first heard it i remembered it felt "unknown" to me and had the feeling the artist/song name was private/undisclosed. I always thought of something mysterious or vacant that a little kid feels worried/scared about. I can only remember thinking about the back alley road at the house I used to live in as a kid. It made me wonder everything like what was behind the garage doors, the "beware of dog" sign on that one gate, what was inside those vehicles, everything from my childhood home gives off this effect like the song. I never knew my neighbors at all when i was younger, so it was like everything was secret from me.
this song just sounds like a friend. it sounds like "hey, it's alright, you'll be okay, let's go get some ice cream." I can't explain it but every time I need a friend I turn on this song and I just feel better
This song came out when I was a teenager. I can't believe this came out 18 years ago. This song was big in the summer of 2002. What a memory!. I was 15 back then. Now I'm 33! How time flies!
I’m a 28 year old man and this song gives me nostalgia beyond comprehension. Just riding in the car with my mom when I was young n listening to her sing it.
What do you have too gone and make things so complicated? I've seen your weight your Action like you somebody else. It keeps me frustrated. And lights like this you...
I'm remember before being a metalhead, i used to be a huge Avril Lavigne fan, every now and then i like to come back and feel that nostalgia pierce me. Most metalheads would laugh at me for this, but i personally believe great music must be appreciated and Avril is beyond great, love you Avril
dude, im one of the purest metalheads there is. and where am i and what am i listening to right now? Avril Lavigne. i get what your saying. this and Sk8er Boy were the first song i heard from her and have been in love ever since.
Does it really matter if you are a Metalhead or something? I think you can listen to several genres of Music.. I also listen to like 10 Genres and i got no problem with it. And i would never laugh about anyone for his Music taste (like most people do) if the biggest buff guy would walk up to me and say "I like Avril Lavigne" i would say: "High five! Me too!" :D
For years I was wondering what this song was...I heard it so many times and I never heard who the artist was or what the song was called. Then, one day, I noted down some of the lyrics, and I typed them in, and finally found out that it was this song! Feels great to know that I finally know what this song as, and my, it's superb!
Another great song. NOT ruined by TikTok. Edit: thanks for likes and I really don't care how you spell it so stop saying it- I'm a horrible speller okay? okay 👌🏼 Edit 2: I flipping fixed it okay not y'all yelling at me about my spelling! What are y'all? Fifth grade English teachers???????? Edit 3 XD: Reading these R E P L I E S now fill me with joy, annoyance and yet laughter all at the same time 🙃😒😂 Edit 4: Wow. after 3 years I didn't expect to see this lol. Just proves how much things changed. Unlike this cringy comment XD
this was my bestfriends and i's theme song, we'll always sung this everyday in school, when there's a program or an activity, we're always the once who performed on the stage and sing this. funny how everything had changed and we're not bestfriends anymore, merely just some strangers to each other with memories from one another. well life goes on as they say :((
A song we’ve heard on the radio, in movies almost everything. I love it so much I will never forget this song. I’m pretty sure no one else will either!
“What’s your fav song?” “It’s complicated.....” “What?” “What, what?” “No I mean you said it’s hard I don’t get it?” “No! I just said my song??!!!??!” “.....” Credits: ‘why do i have subs ?’
My math class My teacher: This way is much easier... Me: Nice! Im probably gonna use that way. My teacher: ...But theres another way that is a bit more complicated and i think you guys can do it so your assignment is to do it using that way. Me: WHY'D YOU HAVE TO GO AND MAKE THINGS SO COMPLICATED
Hi guys I’m here because I have Congestive Heart Failure and the doctor said I only have 3 months til my body gives up. Listening to this makes every moment magical to me.
I miss the original Avril...her first two albums were by far the best and two of my favorite albums ever. The only thing she's done since that came close was Goodbye Lullaby. I still love all her music, but you can't beat songs like "Complicated", "Anything but Ordinary", "Take me Away"....now I have to go listen!
this reminds me of my brother, we've been home educated nearly all our lives, until we went to school, he changed I was in the background getting bullied, whilst I watched my brother in the spotlight, yelling jokes and yelling horrid stuff to people that were apparently "jokes" they called them burns, and he mostly said it to me. I lost my brother, and I lost my best friend in that school.
Ah nostalgia. The days when being cool meant having the latest school bags, or doing some crazy disruptive stuff to gain respect of our peers, where popularity mattered more than the tests ever could. Playgorund insults like gaylord were at the top, limewire was the source of all our darkest fantasies, runescape was the craze, ps2 games were the epitome of fun, the trip to the fast food places was a magical experience, anime and video games in general were exploding, no smartphones, but it was still soo much fun! Avril defined that period for me and for that she is epic.
It's a great song that is moralistic in nature. Of course this is reality that I love this song beyond all. There is something that It touched my mind and heart. No matter what, but that's die hard. Not to make things so complicated. Love this*1000
