He did an updated review with the spoiler part removed and just the little light strip mounted and looks great. Im buying one and tossing the spoiler part
GREAT INFO. GLAD YOU SHOWED US UP CLOSE HOW HIGH AND NOT WIND RESISTANT FRIENDLY THAT MLS IS. I HAVE THE BUG SHIELD WITH LED'S AND LOVE IT. STUMBLED UPON THIS BUT WANTED TO SEE SOME FEEDBACK AND APPRECIATE THE VIDEO.
They could have made the black plastic part much narrower or lower profile its just holding the light strip, i too would be concerned with the buffeting sound.
I don't have a sunroof. I have the 2019 Trail Boss with the 5.3 V8. Thank you, great video! I'm buying this because of your video and the others I watched and read on forums. Did you do anything special to the paint to get that to stick to your vehicle?
Hey Ryan, I'm going over the instructions for the Aerocab Marker Lights that I recieved a couple days ago. When you say 100 car washes, is that with the automatic, "brush style" car washes, or " touchless" car washes. It's too chilly in Missouri to install the marker lights yet because it says the surface needs to be between 60° and 80° but I'm reviewing the instructions that came with the lights and getting a better understanding of the install. Also, did you do a video wiring the lights up under your hood? AVS is very vague in the instructions and with their videos regarding the wiring side of these marker lights. Did you use a Add A Fuse tap under the hood? I want to wire my cab lights into the parking lights so when the parking lights come on, the cab lights do too. Thanks again and I appreciate your help.
@@ijackaroo5478 I'm in Michigan, so I too go thru the hard core washes. As for working, I just ran the power wire to the parking light fuse in the fuse box.
@@lightningshifterstudio I want to add one to my Ram 2500. But the sharkfin is so close to the windshield. And I also have a nav receiver. So I am glad to hear they have accomodations for it. Thank you.
Is there a way you could measure the width of where the aerocab mounts to your truck? I have a 2020 Nissan Titan and I want to see if this will fit my truck.
You can hook them up an ignition fuse if you wish so that they are on with the truck. I have mine plugged into my parking light fuse so that they come on with the headlights/parking lights. It's plug and play for any version you wish to have
Cool. thanks for the reply. I’m glad I didn’t pull the trigger and I just watched your other video where you updated and just use the light strip. That kind of seems better to me. Thanks
@@kensupernor8487 Glad I could help. It's been almost 2 years with the light strip and it still works VERY well. I actually love it with just the strip.
You can definitely hear it on there because it blocks the wind, however it is far less annoying without the sunroof. Without it, it's noticeable to a very mild extent.
I wished I had done that in the video. All I did was take an "add a fuse" you can get from Amazon (part number 50058R) and added it to the parking lamp fuse and ran that power wire to the lights to that fuse.
Unfortunately I've had several conversations with AVS about this same thing. They will not sell the light itself. I pulled the light off the spoiler and placed that on the truck. You'll see I posted another video on this where I do just that. That video shows how it looks should help. I LOVE it with just the light. In fact I ordered another just to pull the light off lol
Ya forget that. Glad I didn't buy this cab light. Why would you put up with the wind noise so it can look cool. Ya you can keep this piece of over price light show. You pay that much so it can look pretty in your truck. Ya I'm good!
