Great video and I've found the chicken goes forum relationships into the physical world is such a rewarding and fulfilling experience. I have several close friends today that I first met on AVS. Get togethers are an actual joy, and I'm glad that you were able to experience one. Based on your accounts of the experience, it's certainly will not be your last! And also, let me add that I really like your content. You post consistently and the information you provide is extremely valuable. Thanks for starting this channel and for sharing your knowledge with our community.

Well said about product comparisons. There is so much talk online about just how much better one product is over another without really experiencing in person what that difference actually is. Some will try to convince you to spend 10K more to eek out another 3% for your theater. I’m also an AVS member going through my humble build. I should check out what Indiana forums there are. Good stuff today.
I'm in the AVS forum and have read some info on the projector shootout. Didn't ya'll also compare the LG hu810p laser projector? I thought I read something about it or was it another shootout? Also which projector had the really bad black level and contrast on that one picture during your video?
There was no LG laser this time. Don’t trust that picture. I actually don’t recall what projectors that was, but my phone way over exposed the shot. It didn’t look like that in person.

Myself, I have recently switched from projector/theater to the newest 2021 QN900A samsung 8k neo qled 85inch television/livingroom and, this way, see my kids+wife more often ;-)

You're absolutely right about equipment with good and better options. The value you can get out of an entry level system, or used system, in a properly set up room, is quite impressive these days. Have fun, discover movies that move your soul, make you laugh, make you cry. And if some shake your sternum too, that's allowed ;-)
Great writeup of the event . I always love giving people demos that haven't experienced really intense bass in the home its so hard to describe to someone how it feels but you did a very good job . The next one probably will be a multiple location event so everyone can see multiple styles of rooms. We'll let you know when we settle on a day I'm guessing after winter time. Maybe summer 2022
It's definitely no where near as good as an NX or NZ model. If you're considering a projector, I would be looking at getting into the NX series at a minimum and would not consider anything older than that any more.
Projectors with auto tone mapping still tone map, but they apply more fixed or static approaches that really can't hold a candle to a what a JVC, Panasonic player, or video processor does.
@@Techthusiasm thank you very much for the inputs That's unfortunate cuse the Sony projectors have a great picture when comes to skin tone the clores in general its like a tv the sharpness and the motions every aspect they doing it very well. but the hdr ton mapping that needs to improve. My thoughts besd on the reviews never see them in person. So what do you think any comments that helps me to choose between them? I only use roku for streaming don't want have any blue Rey players.
I'm a big JVC fan. With 4K HDR content, I'm all about that auto tone mapping. Value Electronics just did a big projector shoot out and the JVC did really well.
