described these figures based on their primitive understanding of things. We have the accounts of the ancient Maya for example, who describe Quetzalcoatl as a man who possessed the ability to cut people down with “fire serpents”. We have depicting of him sitting inside of a coiled snake, in a position where he seems to be operating it. Seems like they are describing a man who is using some sort of technology…"
