Neha Arora Thank you for your notice. Govinda Swami is a direct disciple of Srila Prabhupada and is very strict in the following to Prabhupada's instructions. Krishna is a talent in a human. This kirtan is talently performed, isn't it? And they are all singing and performing with full concentration from the bottom of their hearts! Don't you feel it?

Krishna KZ I am not criticizing them as that would be a vaishnava apradh. I attend Madhava Prabhu's kirtans every year at MVT during Kartik and hold nothing against anybody from any sampradaya but this whole way of kirtan including the Mayapur kirtan mela has turned into shows where too many instruments are used, to o much mispronunciation of the mahamantra can be obeserved. Srila Prabhupada believed in an absolute simple way of kirtan, just a pair of kartaals and mridanga.

Dear Neha Arora, well, we understand what you are speaking about. Your point of view is clear. We are those who are not deciding the whole conception of kirtan, the way of kirtan performance. So we cannot change anything at our level. We just accept the current way of kirtan, and we join it as it is Maha mantra singing, which is Krishna Himself, and He is very mercyful. He likes when people pronounce Hare Krishna any way, even in a wrong way.. Thank you for your comment.

I am pretty sure Prabhupad would LOOOOVE this. I guarantee you Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Ram are dancing in ecstacy too, especially for the 2nd kirtan lead by Madhava das. I was crying and dancing myself. May i suggest we need to be careful prabhuji NOT to criticize those who chant the Holy Names. This was very heartfelt, sublime and nectarean. Just SEE HOW MANY souls were engaged in the Kali-Yuga dharma, many of them, I would say, for the first time. This in itself is glorious. It says clearly in shastra that ANY chanting of the Holy Name yields incredible results and that those who do it are THE MOST pious souls, no matter their motivation. These bhaktas, at the very least, have understood sambhanda jnana and have deep faith in the Supreme Power of the Holy Name. I cannot judge if there is any ego, but it really doesn't matter, because again in shastra, it clearly says that in Kali Yuga, every endeavor is covered by some fault. I also think we should be careful if we ourselves are not so nicely engaged in HariNam sankirtan regularly. Hare Krishna. Please forgive any offences dear brother/prabhu.
