Awareness Creation Workshops in Warri and Asaba on implementing the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 

PIND carried out Awareness Creation Workshops in Warri and Asaba on implementing the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) as part of the Bridges Project funded by Ford Foundation. The workshop was for Host Communities Development Trust(HCDTS). This follows a series of Capacity Building trainings for CSOs and NGOs in 5 states and 6 locations across the Niger Delta.
Other implementing partners supporting PIND, such as CEPEJ, EFDI, and NNF, played a role in facilitating the awareness creation and sensitization sessions in Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers States with the final workshop billed for Akure, Ondo State.
Over 500 key community stakeholders gathered to learn about their vital roles, responsibilities, and expectations under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). Together, we are empowering communities and shaping a brighter future.
