I took off the stock muffler and resinator and put coffin mufflers and 4 inch tips on my suburban what a great sound it sounds better then my Corvette with Borla exhaust I'm thinking of putting coffin mufflers on my vette now
I have 20 silverado with 6.2L and Borla S type. Very pleased but loud as shit on cold start but mellow to medium all other times. No drone and sounds good.
Nice. I have an ATAK muffler (took off the stock muffler/flapper). There is drone at highway speed, but around town it is nice. I would like to have less drone on the open highway and a deep throaty exhaust sound, any suggestions? 2021 GMC AT4 (6.2L)
Most people don't have drone with that muffler. Some fixes- Add a resonator before or after the muffler. This may change your tone. Add a J pipe, or helmholtz resonator. This will cancel out the droning sound waves, you just have to find the right size
I got the AWE 0FG for my 21 5.3 trail boss recently, no drone at all. Had the Flowmaster super 10 before and it had pretty bad drone on the highway too. So far I really love the AWE, deep throaty rumble and 0 drone!
