That is a very tasteful change to the sound. Just a tad deeper with a little more throat to it. And not over the top loud. Very nicely done. Love the before and Afters also, not many other exhaust reviews do such a great before and after

I was able to install that exhaust on my TRX without cutting anything. Simply unbolting the diff shock from the rear end gave plenty of clearance to pull out the stock exhaust.
Great video! I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on the same exhaust but wanted to know if you had to do it again, would you go with the same choice?

I have a Hennessey Mammoth 1000 that came with a tune, so I can't get a full exhaust, but was wondering if AWE just sells the Diamond Black tips by themselves? Would you know? Nice truck and thank you for the video!
Sounds deeper and less raspy than stock. I like it. I bought Borla S-Type for my last two trucks but really leaning towards AWE if I upgrade. Going to install the S&B CAI first, saw a video where it increase WHP and torque by 25, which is extremely impressive for just a cold air intake system.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I really don't like either of the cold starts. The factory one sounds like something is wrong, and the AWE one just sounds like it's trying to hide whatever that sound is. The AWE does sound nice once the cats are warmed up and it's at a low idle rumble. That's the good stuff. :)
Justin great job comparing the two exhaust before and afters. No one ever does it right and you did it perfectly. Funny that you bought the TRX. I sold my C8 about 8 months ago and also bought the TRX. I also put the AWE on my C8 and absolutely loved it. I have replaced the exhaust on almost every vehicle I’ve ever owned but when I bought the TRX I said wow I don’t think I need to replace this exhaust. I even think they did a great job on the tips. Now you screwed me up! I have some Rhino wheels on order which I am doing first. Thinking about doing 37’s. I also did the electric drop step which I highly suggest. It tucks away perfectly and is awesome. I’m also not a fan of the Ram bar but I know some people like it. I also have the bed cover. BTW I like my TRX way better than the C8. All wheel drive 700HP, pulls my 8000 pound boat and you don’t have to crawl out of it. LOL
Heck yes! The stock exhaust on this beast is pretty good, but AWE can always make it better and that they did. I love the way it looks too because the flat black of the stock tips get lost with the matte black bumper color where now being shiny black, they stand out again. Send me some pictures of your truck!
The exhaust system is about 2,100 bucks and the install is usually around 300 but they actually stopped doing installs at their location right after this.

I think long tube headers would sound better, I prefer an X pipe to an H pipe but I also like a screaming rap, with no drone. It sounds good just too subdued for me. If you’re familiar with Corsa sport and long tubes or Solo and long tubes that’s my jam. Beautiful truck and we’ll done video!
H pipes sometimes sound better depending on the configuration. Totally depends on the setup. Normally, I'd agree, X pipes are the way to go but in this case, the H pipe sounds better.

It actually is a good bit different in person. I tried my best to capture it but at the end of the day, you need to hear it in person. It's definitely a better tone that is also a bit louder.
@@HorsePowerObsessed I’ve narrowed it down to this and the Borja. I saw a Borla vid tonight on a red TRX where it idled fit about 4 min straight and sounded incredible. I’m mainly looking for slightly louder at idle almost more than wot sound. And May end up going cheap and swapping in carven r serious in place of factory resonators. Super cheap option.
