Thanks for the video. I installed mine this past weekend. And I am really enjoying it. I had already done a muffler delete, so it actually quieted it down a little. But I really like the setup especially the crossfire versus the stamped x-pipe. I don’t see a need at all for headers on this vehicle. Especially, since I don’t plan on any other modifications except the bolt one I have already done.
The thing is the factory exhaust is 3 in. So alot of new systems won’t sound to much different. I changed my mufflers and it was just enough for me. A deeper sound. Which that’s what it sounds like the borla did as well. Sounds good. Love the whine as well.
Awhile ago I had the Borla Attack muffler installed on my 2012 Ram 1500 4x4 . With 5.7 HEMI . MY exhaust stopped just at the rear end of the crew cab and to the passenger side of the cab . VERY LOUD . I was told my truck sounded like a NASCAR on the highway! My 2014 Ram 4x4 with HEMI Same set up, but a "RUMBLE " muffler made by Flowmaster was used . I'm told a person could hear my truck 1.5 miles away!!
I JUST GOT MY 2021 TRX LAST WEEK SO PUTTING TOGETHER MY PLAN ON WHAT MODS ARE THE BEST AND LOVE THE DETAILED VIDEOS YOU ARE PRODUCING. I GOT LUCKY IN MY LITTLE TOWN THAT THEY HAPPEN TO GET A 2021 LOADED WITH ALL THE GOODIES MINUS THE RAM BAR (ON ITS WAY) AND THE TRAILER REVERSE (DIDNT NEED AS I USE TRAILERS FOR A LEAVING AND THIS TRUCK IS MY TOY SO NOT USING IT TO TOW MUCH ANYWAY, BUT ALL THE OTHER OPTIONS ARE INCLUDED SO HAPPY TO OF FOUND IT WITH ONLY 10000 MILES ON IT. I TRADED MY 2019 F150 FX4 LARIAT 5.0 AND HAD THE BORLA STYPE AND LOVED IT SO LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING THE BORLA SWITCH FIRE ON MY NEW BABY AS WELL AS THE B WOODY AIR INTAKE THAT IS OR SHOULD BE ON THE WAY. Nice video. I would add hi - temp anti - seize to all bolts, clamps, ground strap, and connections. Especially the factory threaded flange bolts. You'll actually be able to take it apart again in the future. The metal factory gaskets are junk, add hi temp silicone with those.
Yeah… I don’t like anything that colors the sound of the motor. I can’t help but feel like I’m hearing Magnaflow or Borla instead of Ram if it’s not a straight pipe.
i had a honda, after a custom stereo install, i had engine wine sort of sound from the speakers, 100% similar to this supercharger wine, at that time i didnt know about superchargers and their wine, i was hearing that first time, i hated it. changed the stereo, replaced the amplifier, then after months of agony of bearing that noise wine, i found a guy who put some small component at speaker level output behind the stereo and that solved the problem. few years later i came across all the boosted cars of this era and i hear this wine, and to my surprise, people love it. i hate it. thats not the only thing, i love v8 burbling sound, people also love that, at some point in my life i heard that for the first time too and fall in love, but this supercharger wine i hate it so much and would do anything to get rid of it. to me its like squeaking or old equipment noise. like in drag cars when they lift off and thats the sound coming off of the transmission nd drive line tunnel. btw, kudos to the red truck owner, very clean truck underside. neat nd clean nd no salt damage. very nice.
You'll supposed a 5 inch (dual) tips may Open up a lot of low end grunt better free flow and increase mpgs plus some rumbling thunder sound may make the cut would it? (Your thoughts and anyone else from experience). Any crackling and rasping is great sounds of music to my ears.
Any Ram with a BORLA Attack muffler installed will sound louder than most with real dual exhaust with headers ! Except the exhaust should dump out the side ahead of the rear tyres . Save weight don't run Pipes out the rear of truck !!

READ the Borla install instructions, ONLY CUT 2” behind driver side exhaust, not 5 like stated in the video or else you’ll end up with a bad seal at that location..

BY CHANCE HAVE YOU FOUND ANY UPGRADE THAT HAS INCREASED THE MPG LOL AND HAVE YOU FOUND A TUNE FOR IT, I HAD THE SCT TUNNER IN MY F150 BUT SEEMS THERE NOT AVAILABLE YET FOR THIS MONSTER...
The SNOW drive mode seems to be the secret ECO drive mode, I found a really decent 15-16mph average with snow mode. Try it and see what yours does! Thanks for the view!
