Just purchased my 2024 S3 a week ago, I have the sport exhaust plus sport resonator so I get crisp pops and backfires on downshifts when in the right RPM range… It’s hard to tell in the video but do either of these setups still crackle and pop on downshifts?
@@awetuning Ive watched the clip many many times, the shots from behind the cars, and from 3/4 angle rear, I cant help but feel the "touring" sounds less muffled than the track in the clip!? could they have been reversed? some weird thing with microphone?
@@JosephSheu86 ha, negative. When in dynamic mode the car can sound like it's gurgling water a bit due to the ECU prompts to make it burble. Further, the Touring Edition doesn't have packing material in the 180 Tech resonators in the rear -- i.e. -- nothing to make it quieter or muffle the sound. It's a straight through design and resembles the inside of a Track Edition. Due to those resonators removing the drone-prone frequencies, they have a slightly higher/exotic pitch since it's omitting the nasty base frequencies.
