@@adambahouche366 American Airlines is just not a good airline. I have never received good service or felt like I received a flight to match the Buisness Class price I paid. Usually I ended up on American Airlines or United Airlines (another awful American airlines company) as a connection flight from another airline that I booked with to fly back to the USA. Or my company books my flights for us and we get stuck with AA or United.

Another great report as usual Jayden. This is the first time I have ever seen the word "awesome" in the same sentence as American Airlines!!! Glad you managed to have a more positive experience with them. I think the female cabin crew member was a major factor in this.

Great video Jayden, i took a few 737 & A321 flights last year whilst in the US, if you ever get chance take the A321T between LAX & JFK in first, its a great experience and more like international business class.

Great video as always! I have to mention that you're very lucky to not experience a cancellation or extended delay on AA, which they're really bad at handling. I was stranded alone overnight at MIA, and there were two frustrated agents serving 200+ passengers, and there was no priority line for rebooking. I'm glad you enjoyed your flight with AA- DFW agents are SO much better than those at MIA.

@@johnsymons76 Haha true but they are still far from the best- I would say AA staff in Asia or Europe are significantly better, probably because they haven't been infected by AA service culture!

@@EthanYangAviationandTravel I tend to agree with you. Actually I try to avoid flying US flagged carriers as their cabin service is no where near as outstanding as Asian carriers. Unfortunately one is stuck with US carriers for domestic flights. My favorite airline is SQ. I have been flying them since the early 80's and love the friendly and caring service I receive from them. I mentioned Fort Worth as I went to college there and it's a great city with super friendly people.

Awesome video mate, I would love to fly some American domestic flights and this has made me super keen. The interactive flight map was super cool as well. overall looked like you had a great flight, it appears the cabin crew certainly made a big difference. Very enjoyable, cheers.

Great video. 7-Eleven store in DFW never seen before. A321 is look new and nice seat. Yummy meal and a cookie. A321 Sharklets is replace B757 on US route.

The premium economy seats are different to the seat you experienced. You can find them on the 737 max and a321neo. Another difference is that the premium economy seats are only 18.5 inches wide compared to 21 inches in domestic first

It must have been such a special experience flying into the States for the first time. For me, it was one of nerves and excitement all at the same time, just like the Eddie Murphy film, "Coming to America! I didnt sleep at all throighout the flight, even my first night in Manhattan NY. Dear Jayden, another great video. Agree with your comments regarding AA - have to be careful of what's free and what's not. I enjoyed the review but felt that you were superkind to them also as a fellow passenger. Often it is said, you get what you give. I flew on the Boeing 717 (or something equivalent - where the jet is on the tail) and I really enjoyed hat trip. We had a hot meal (Dallas - Orlando) - 2013. Looking forward to your next video!

Love this video from my home airport. Minor nitpick. The Admirals Club is not a business class lounge. Instead it is a membership club with an annual fee. If you are on an international business class ticket, you get Flagship Lounge access (which is really the business class lounge). The way US carriers are structured with lounge access (not provided with your ticket or your status), a premium cabin for domestic flights (called first but more similar to Premium Economy on an intercontinental flight) is different than European or Asian carriers.

I’m actually sitting in the Terminal A Club right now - same one you were in. It isn’t a frequent flyer lounge either. American Airlines frequent fliers/elites do NOT get access through a ticket while flying domestically. Instead, most of the users pay for membership annually either directly or through the Citi credit card. Other airline OneWorld elites do get access while flying American in the US but that is as a reciprocal benefit for AA elites to get Lounge access while flying other OneWorld airlines abroad. In the US, lounge access simply isn’t considered to be part of the ticket for either premium cabin or a frequent flyer benefit by the airlines though there are some exceptions. Finally, I think you’ll like the Flagship Lounge - especially if you get access to Flagship Dining, but it’s not in the same league as some of the best in class lounges in Asia, Europe, or the Middle East.

Thanks for watching mate!! Oh no the LAX JFK 321 is heaps better. You get business class (2-2, flatbed) and first class (1-1, B777 business flatbed). Much much better haha

The first class service seemed laid back compared to others, nice to see a friendly flight attendant. I can make out the Qantas Cargo Centre in the background at 15:40 👍. On a serious note I hope things settle down in Hong Kong 🇭🇰. It’s one of my favourite cities in the world. Maybe more shower chairs are needed to think about life 😉 Take care Dee

Bring it on Jayden and for 4:06 N163AA is 1 year old at the time of the video but looking at the faa registry search N163AA is 2 years old 10 months and 23 days at the time of the video since it was made back on May 27 2016. Perhaps you should use the FAA registry search for US registered aeroplanes.

Hi Jayden. Top quality sound and vision..seriously good. AA seems to be getting its act together and I think it can only get better once they have retired a lot of their old fleet. Even though you were seated in front of the engines, it seemed to be a noisy 'plane...did you find it so?

Jiajun Fan it’s not needed operationally at HKG. It was opened at DFW in 2005 to correct a design flaw that is was not designed as a connecting hub when it opened in the early 1970s. it’s 5 separate terminals that had to be connected airside since AA operates out of 4 of them. When it was opened hubs didn’t exist yet

Hi OWF squad member 428747-400 reporting in, by the way I did watch 787 QF review Hong Kong last week, I wrote a huge comment but selected discard text instead of keep writing, grrr I wanted to tell you last Friday in Sydney we had huge wind gusts and they closed parallel runways at Sydney airport and were only operating east west runway , so driving home on Friday night from work the mighty qantas 747-400 landed literally right in front of me , I was so excited but nearly ran into the rear of the 309 bus , into the city. Lol , thanks for American review, their first class is abit ordinary but great service and it's great you enjoyed flight! Till next week, safe travels!

US carriers don’t do business class for short haul domestic. It’s economy and then first class (equivalent to business class in overseas) 😊 Thank you for watching!

The shower "chair" is likely there to maintain compliance with Title III of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities) Act of 1990. This is probably also the reason why you've noted the shower room itself is large (it must be able to accommodate a wheelchair-bound person).

Oh wow that's interesting, thanks for letting me know. In HK Airport, only one out of probably 20 shower rooms are designed for wheelchair users. And some of them don't have a toilet seat for that reason!

I don't know that the business class thing named as First Class for me just like so funny, especially when it was just from A321. But now I'm so curious with the economy seat from this AA A321. Haha

Yeah it's quite confusing Laurels! So for short-haul domestic which is like 99% of the flights, there is no business class, The premium cabin is called first class but often have the business class code eg. J The recliner seat on the 737 I flew from Toronto was called business class. But the seat and the same plane doing a domestic route would be called first!! For longer domestic flights eg. LAX JFK, it's more like international, a different first and business cabin. Thank you very much for watching!

Hi, have your tried their economy class domestic flight? I wonder if they provide free drinks and snacks in the economy class. Heard that everything comes with a fee if it's a US based airlines unless if you fly Business Class.

yeah I have mate, at the end of the day they are ‘full service’ airlines, so they do serve free snacks, usually pretzels and biscuits, and free drinks including soft drinks, coffee and tea :) thanks for watching and have a good day!

Most of the domestic AA flights I've taken do not have IFE, and I'm not sure that all the international flights do. I think your experience might have been above average for them. I wonder what economy passengers got to eat.

Yeah not all A321 have IFE, some international jets don't too, like the 757 and 767. In economy, it's usually biscuits and a choice of drink. Thanks for watching :D

Your joking? The seats are that bad? The front seats on airlingus have pullout trays and similar extra legroom granted the TV isn't their but we have phones. Extreme waste of money.

Have you flown on the Qantas A330-200 recently? I’m supposed to be doing PER-MEL on that plane in a couple weeks and I want to go for seat 44D (bulkhead) but I can’t tell what the legroom is like. I’m a big bloke (6ft5/140kg) and if I could I would have purchased the exit row seat but they were already all sold out when I booked. According to the Qantas website 44D/44E/44F/44G are all ‘exit row’ seats but it says ‘this is not an extra legroom seat’ So my question is, do you have any idea what the legroom is like in that row? Not recently mate. And I've only flown the A330-200 with tiny TVs from like 2005. no USB and charging outlet etc. I just had a look at the map, the reason why 44D/44E/44F/44G are all ‘exit row’ seats but 'not an extra legroom seat’ is that there is a wall in front of them. Making them more like a bulkhead seat. There is definitely more knee space, but limited foot space (as in you can't stretch your legs too forward). I hope this clarifies and thanks for watching!
