Also, Cathay Pacific finally resumed its HongKong-Ningbo service last month. It was served by Cathay Dragon 2 flights a day before Covid. However, the service is only operated 4 times per week with its Airbus A321 Neo. But anyway it is a return of one of the most convenient way to go abroad from Ningbo.
@@JaydenWong I guess it is due to the reduction in international business travel post Covid. In 2017, I flew back with CX and KA via HongKong to Ningbo, the majority of the passengers were foreigners. My hometown isn't a tourist city. I think most of them were going there for business.
hiya Jayden ... had to watch this one twice as there is a lot to unpack ! I have been going to Hangzhou every year since 2010 with my hubby ;-) ( covid lockdowns excluded) so know it well and ALWAYS fly Cathay lol. So glad they are phasing out the regional A333s, I really do not like them. If you go back to Hangzhou with 6'4" I recommend you stay at the Capitol Westlake (convenient to the Line 1 metro and Westlake) and try this restaurant for the best Hangzhou cuisine!!! : Hangzhou Restaurant, 205 Yan'an Rd, HuBin ShangQuan, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, 310001 I was surprised cabin staff took orders for meals by FF status, really new idea .... I bet you were happy about that !!!!! The pagoda you went to is amazing, and yes, we walked back from there to Westlake (we were staying at Sofitel) and sweated our asses off too lol. Are you planning to go see the clay warriors in Xi'an? Let me know and I can give you some tips 🙂
wow Hangzhou must be special for you two! I really liked Hangzhou, definitely prefer it over Shanghai. Hangzhou Restaurant looks delish and affordable! Thanks for the recommendation. They were doing it on 3 out of 4 flights that I flew with them in July. Usually on a wide-body and when they have extra time e.g. delay, longer flight etc. :) No concrete plan going to the clay warriors in Xi'an yet but 6'4 and I are both very interested in going!
Hangzhou is hubby's hometown so yeah got the insider knowledge lol. If you go to Xi'an take the Cathay flight direct to XIY, don't do domestic airline flights as they are always badly delayed. Trust me, if you go there you will be blown away with an eyeball view ... so much better than pictures.
"The cheesecake is very sweet, very salty, very mindful, very demure" loved that part! Another amazing flight review. I really really do want to give Cathay a go but for some reason my brain keeps restricts me from flying the non Star Alliance careers lol
hahaha I’m the opposite, prefer oneworld definitely 😂 If you happen to be a member of Air NZ, Lufthansa group, Air Canada and Air China they have codeshare arrangements and some even have reciprocal benefit agreements with Cathay

Hey Jayden i have an international flight from Adelaide to Singapore next Friday morning. Our flight leaves Adelaide at 9.10am what time would I need to arrive at the airport?
If you’re going to enjoy a meal or have lounge access. I would arrive 6:10-6:30am. If not I would get there at 7:10am. Give it 15 mins for check in. 10 mins for security. Another 15 mins to get to the international security and immigration. Should be in the duty free by 7:50am :) Plane should be around 8:30am
24:19 Yep, the Hangzhou metro Line 1 is operated by HK MTR. Other mainland china cities that is operated by HK MTR and uses the said style announcements are Shenzhen (Line 4) and Beijing (Line 4, 16 and 17) :) Speaking of Sydney Metro, the Sydney Metro has recently been extended to the CBD, meaning that you no longer need to change trains at Chatswood if travelling between Macquarie Uni and the CBD :) 25:10 I've seen something similar in the hotel when I went to Shantou during Easter this year!!. I bumped into the robot in the elevator by coincidence
for halal you need to request. For vegetarian meals it’s on the menu on a long haul flight (no need to pre-order but for strict vegetarians order anyway in case they run out). On a short flight like this one you need to pre-order
