@@TalkingBullion Honestly Dimes are probably the best constitutional to stack besides Franklin Halves, solely based on the loss of silver you get over time.
Just came across your channel. Liked & subbed. Been stacking mostly "junk" myself since about 2016. Took advantage of Ebay bucks as well. Haven't bought much in the last few years due to price, premiums & a state sales tax was implemented. 41k views on this video. I guess a lot of us like junk.
Hi Marilyn...welcome to my channel. I have a lot of videos on junk silver. I was getting incredible prices a few years ago. I was able to get a nice stack going. However, like you, I haven't bought much lately. You have probably got a nice stack going as well if you starting in 2016 🤓 I appreciate the sub and if you have any questions, please let me know. Take care!
Nice pickups! Apmex is a great company providing excellent customer service and awesome packaging of they’re product. They are in my opinion however a bit on the expensive side compared to the other online dealers I order from. Apmex does have a wide variety of products and often run some pretty decent sales now and then.
Thanks T BM...I love the junk as well. There will be a few more videos. Especially since the 10% eBay bucks keeps happening and with that, can get it below spot. Thanks for subbing!
$50 in dimes came in yesterday, $50 in quarters came in last month. My first order for "Mixed" were the quarters. Of course, one can order them as each now but I saved some money the way I did it. I took the extra money and put it on Mercury dimes only. I have heard some say not to buy Constitutional but when one lives on a disability check, one cannot large investments.
@@Sacred-Heart-of-Jesus829 if u do clean them the best way is to use tooth paste and warm water. Just dont brush the coins and dont rub them dry just slightly blot them dry with a towel. But like he said u shouldnt really clean them. If none of the coins have any numismatic value then cleaning them like i mentioned wouldnt do much to hurt the value kuz its still just silver content.
Lol brasso, or tarn-x, or water and baking soda, then rinse. I like my silver clean. Key words “my silver”. I don’t clean my BU, AU, or Proof , but I like my circulated stuff smooth and clean. : )
Thank you 🙏 , I love silver and coin videos where u actually learn new things about our obsession, silver stacking , which I definitely did by watching yours! Boston 💪
The same amount of each is fine with me. If I had to choose between the three, I would take dimes as they are the smallest fractional silver and would be the most versatile. Overall though, in theory, constitutional silver is about a 1/3 of the stack with government issued and generic bullion being there as well (and a little gold mixed in there as well 😀). Thanks for the question and watching the video Eli!
A couple of my local coin shops let me pick out my junk silver. My goal is to acquire $1k face each of 90% percent constitutional quarters, dimes, and halves. I only stack junk silver and I prefer the worn and toned coins. However, I hate the really nasty coins or "cull" ones. I set those aside and will sell those for only melt value. Too bad I cannot get it for 11 times $1 face now-lol. Keep stacking!
Is it weird i just separated 1982 and older pennys from the newer pennys because the copper content is better... Not even crack heads do that.. but apparently no one does that. Because i found so many 95% copper pennys. oddly enough didn't find a single 90% silver quarter or dime while sorting.
I don't think for resale-aibility, there isn't any one better than the other. They all have 90% silver. For whatever reason, the Kennedy's have a higher premiums associated with them but I'm not sure why. They have the same amount of silver as the rest of them. I don't generally buy them because of the premiums associated with them. Thanks Eli...I appreciate you watching!
They are my favorite also for "the big boys" but they are higher / much higher than others , including facebook groups , instagram sellers but also , you really don't have to do "homework" from them ... meaning you know they are legit , compared to this random ass dude on facebook. Myself , no problems with going to other options for cheaper / way cheaper ... I pay melt price for everything minus Peace & Morgans , obviously.
So your dimes are around $1.25 each. That's a great deal. My wholesaler is at $1.42 each dime. I want 100ounces of dimes are 1,300 count for $1,630.00! Wow thx
Ordered a roll of Kennedy half dollars and a roll of Roosevelt dimes today. I already have 40 Morgan dollars and 40 Eagles. I stopped collecting bullion. I like the real money better.
No, constitutional silver is rarely faked,,,if at all so there is no need to test. Buying from reputable companies is a safe bet IMHO. That's one of the pros of buying this stuff. Glad to see you are jumping in Andy! Thanks for watching!!!
Talking Bullion ok thanks for getting back to me!! Should I buy bulk wheat cents from them? Do you think I should trust them. If not what would be the best place to get bulk cents from
@@ethanguidry312 I don't buy bulk cents so I'm probably not your best resource but I have never had any problems with Apmex. They are a pretty good company and I would suspect would take very good care of you. Thanks YN!
I just discovered "junk" silver and more specifically Mercury dimes. I've always known about it I just always ignored it. What a mistake! I picked up a couple hundred mercury dimes and I love these things!
Well it's a great time to get into it...with silver being so low, you can get junk silver for pretty close to spot! BTW, I love the Mercury Dimes as well!!! Thanks for watching...I really appreciate it!!!
Happy for you to find that deal... I just searched their eBay site... Nothing even close to being close to the buy you found. Congrats! Ok, Nevermind. This Video came up in my Notifications as if it was NEW. 🤔
I don't understand how "dimes are cheaper". 10 dimes weigh the same as 4 quarters that weigh the same as 2 halfs that weigh the same as a silver dollar. That's the point of them being fractional
I'm not sure what you mean by "dimes are cheaper". Same silver content...same spot value. I was talking about the premiums on some of the older dimes but as you said, fractionally, they're same! Thanks for watching SX!
I don't remember Bob. That was last year. I tried to look it up but I can't be sure it was the right purchase and I don't want to give bad info. I Paid well below spot and spot was around $14.75 at the time. Thanks for watching!!!
Im always hearing that people are buying junk silver from major bullion dealers for under spot......No Way.....I have been looking at all the dealers for 4 months and have never seen it for even spot.
I don't know of any major bullion dealers that sell for spot or under but some frequently sell for just over spot. Provident just had a sale for .29 above spot. I think Bullion Exchange had it for spot but you had to buy like a $100 face. The best way to get it under spot under normal circumstances is through eBay bucks. Coin Exchange and Apmex on eBay allow their coins to qualify for eBay bucks which allows you to get them for a pretty good price. Thanks Thomas!
@@TalkingBullion i bought a roll of 90% silver quarters off a guy on ebay for about $.60 over spot. He messaged me back and told me he had 542 more washington silver quarters he wanted to sell. He did not want to pay the ebay fees, so we made a private deal and I got all of them for $2.20 under melt value per ozt. If silver jumps up 2 dollars again, I'm gonna flip them for a quick $500.00 profit.
Thomas Jensen Awesome Thomas...that’s how you do it. I’ve been getting mine for a great price but I am not flipping them. I am holding for now. Thanks for the great information.
JUNK SILVER CAN NOT BE USED AS PRECIOUS METAS CURRENCY. PRECIOUS METALS CURRENCY MUST BE .999 PURITY. THIS IS A HOUSE RESOLUTION. 80 % JUNK WILL BE REJECTED AS PRECIOUS METALS CURRENCY.
90% silver has been our silver metal currency for over 200 years and is what most people recognize not bullion. I will go with what is known the best and has been around for hundreds of years regardless of the house resolution.
@@richcali21 Our new PM currency must be .999 purity for our new coinage. What happens when the JUNK coins get mixed up again with our current CAD coins. Confusion and mix-up will result. This is an impossible situation. House Resolution makes junk obsolete.. . Junk silver can be legally be rejected as not PM .999 coinage by retail centers. JUNK silver's value at a retail center will be seen as like our our current CAD coinage. . Junk into a remelt .999 purity is the only option for exchange for new .999 coinage at a hefty fee by your PM dealer. He will make a killing in the process. Did you really save money buying Junk coinage?
Apmex from eBay is a reputable company that sells on eBay. I trust them. Also, it is very unlikely that you will get "fake" constitutional silver. Thanks TG!!!
