You can really tell by this fight how injured he is these days. He can barely move in the Octagon, whereas in this fight he is pretty light on his feet and moves pretty well.

It's great to look back on fights like this from some of the best in the heavyweight division and see how far they've come as far as their skills. It's crazy that a striker like Francis and gano becomes a wrestler

What a beating he couldn't stand up to celebrate his loss, I guess loss celebration can be done from the tarmac, ambulance stretcher, corner benches, depending on the situation. The corner bench was the best option out of the 3 options, being bench glued saved his life. All that pounding on his head against the tarmac is very detrimental to his brain, my hope is that he didn't get a concussion. What a ruff and tuff business.

I was actually kind of impressed with Shivers in this fight. He finished him convincingly but you can tell the guy is talented. Not what I was expecting from a smaller organization

damn! derrick used to be in pretty damn good shape. it’s weird to put in all that effort to get to the highest level of the sport, just to take your foot off the gas and seemingly not put forth the same effort to stay in shape

How is it even possible to get taken down and mounted that quickly? I know this is an old fight, but you really need to wonder how someone can be a full time fighter, presumably training daily, and still be so inept.
