Hi Tung, this is great! The only question is do you think the top section of the trellis will be strong enough to hold all the weight of the branches once the plants are developed more? These are all young growths, even in your part 4 of the video. What do you think? Also are these 15 gal containers? Are you putting one dragon plant on each side of the post (so 4 total) or just front and back of the post? Also if you were willing I'd love to buy a set up from you. Couldn't find a way to send you a private message on RU-vid. Thanks!
Yes, I think it will hold the weight for full grown. Pot size from 15-25 gallons and cuttings per pot will depends on the dragon fruit species, so do research on the type that you want to plant. But no more than 4 per pot. You can reach me at 4072678836
Do you grow these from root cuttings Stick in the pot? I really like your easy and nice design. How long do you think it will start fruiting? What kind of soil do you use?
Hi Tung, looks great! I have a few well established plants that have two main branches coming up my trellis - I didn't realise I should trim them down to one when I got them a few months ago. Do you think that's ok? Or should I cut off one of the branches and leave just one main one?
@@TungPham-sv3yw awesome, thanks for getting back to me! Just saw this now somehow.. Yeah they're tall branches, up to the top of the trellis (almost). I'll leave them
Hi Tung, I have another question. With the open top on the fence post, how do you prevent water getting soaked in there and not draining out? If it rains I can image the water will just pool in that soil. There aren't drainage holes in the fence post. During the summer months do you water the soil in the fence post too? Thanks
If anything I am more worry about not enough water inside the post. Remember post are also hollow at the bottom end with cracks around the circumference of the holes I drilled for anchoring the post plus all the holes I drilled in the middle for the arial roots. The top section is only 5” square space that can collect rain water and it also may be blocks by the dragon fruit.
