Use stainless steel wires instead of zip ties to secure the top support. And for the cross beam (sun shade support) change length from 10" to 12" for easy to change adapter for different use.
Please watch • Awesome dragon fruit t... for all the benefits of this design.

The challenge with traditionally designed trellises are wood rot or metal corrosion; your finely executed solution is brilliant. This DIY dragon fruit trellis is exactly what I was looking for, an added bonus is its affordability. I cannot wait to start this project. Thank you.

Where do you live? Here in California the schedule 40 pipes and fittings are not that cheap in fact you can build a wooden one for less money…another thing why put so many pipes at the bottom there is no room for the plant and the mix….maybe just put two pipes crisscrossing and secure them with zip ties to the bottom of the pot….apparently this guy has so many of them specially the big ones…

Just finished building my first dragon fruit trellis using your design, I added some concrete dobies to anchor it down more since I couldn't find the concrete cylinders at my local home depot. But most likely I'll attached to the second dragon fruit trellis for added support like what you did on your other videos. Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you for the sharing the excellent design. I am getting components for the first trial unit. However, I will go for schedule 80 PVC pipes and connectors. The vinyl fence post will last for very long time because it is UV protected. The PVC pipes and connectors are not meant for above ground and exposed to the sun. They will degraded faster than the post. Hopefully, schedule 80 will have a longer life.

I like your top but I don't think I'll do the extension for shade since I can always move it to the shade area to keep thing simple. I think if the 4" round drain PVC pipe is strong enough it will cut your cost by half since it's only $10.
