Laz's story about his dad at around 1:17:43 was very touching, what happened later (which is cut out here) is that a bunch of guys from audience quickly got some cash together and gave it to Laz. AGDQ, you rock.

1:19:01 is the biggest highlight, period.

I remember learning about the Games Done Quick marathon last year from some random speed run video I found here on RU-vid. Ever since then, I always watch the streams live and donate when I can. I love how it's bringing gamers together for a great cause. THIS, is what I love about us as people.

Such a shame that you stopped doing highlight & blooper videos after this. I'd argue that your highlight videos are what got me watching GDQ in the first place.

Laz's was probably the 'best' highlight as far as representing the heart of the marathon.

That 4 way metroid race was the best bit of speed running I've ever seen. I remember watching the whole thing months ago and being on the edge of my seat.

Zallards blindfolded Super Punch-Out run, and Star Fox 64 run was incredible!

I love bonesaw. Had me laughing my ass off during most of the Jak run. Not to mention the crazy good Duke 2 WR run he had. Was watching him for weeks on his stream while he practiced it for SGDQ this year.

i'll never get tired of these highlight/blooper vids. let's hope this one doesn't get fucked over by youtube's stellar content ID system.

Over the last few months, I've found myself going through all of these saved videos from previous GDQ videos, and just fall in love with the games and the runners. A video like this is beyond awesome, even with me catching it so late, it's truly enjoyable. I hope you make more like this, UraniumAnchor, and I hope one year I have the money to come out and just be a part of it.

Great moment from LAZ there talking about his father. I lost 2 uncles in a very short time to various forms of cancer. It's an arsehole. These guys are great for doing so much to fund research into stopping it.

Great decision to put the highlights and bloopers together, makes the hype moments a lot more suspenseful when you don't know if it's a blooper or a highlight.

Wow, just wow. Great set of both highlights and bloopers. It was a blast being there on-site live throughout the whole thing and it was definitely all that I was expecting and then some. Looking forward to seeing the same amount of insane skill, funny moments, and unbridled hype at this upcoming SGDQ.

I wish I knew about this before or it ran when I was younger. I used to know a bunch of cool stuff like this on the C64 and a few on some consoles. It'd take me a year just to remember which game was what by the name now...

Watching these highlights in anticipation of the 2015 instalment of AGDQ. One of the things I remember personally was the chat being spammed with the protonEgg emote (ProtonJon's donation was being read out). Ah, good times.

I know people think Bonesaw is a bit obnoxious and annoying, but I actually find that Bonesaw is a funny and cool guy. He's not really annoying to me.

I'm playing through Jak and Daxter myself right now, so imagine my frustration at attempting the Dark eco plants (The second clip in the video) over the course of 15 minutes, and then seeing it done flawlessly in one run.

Very cool event!! Thx to all the runners, the organisers and everyone else who made this happen. You guys do an awesome job! But I got a little request here. Could you line-up the volume to the same value next time before uploading it? Because usually I could understand everything but for example at 1:45 Darkspinessonic was so quiet that I had to turn the volume up. And minutes later the whole thing was suddenly so loud, I almost shit my pants and my sound system almost exploded :D
