This was definitely a blessed event in terms of the luck that the players had. I don't think I've ever seen so many instances of "I didn't think I'd pull that off" or some variation thereof at any other event since.
@@pracalt1051 I know also the dev that made this game was @phobicstudio the same dev that made these games Bounce On and Bounce on 2 and Bounce on back man I miss these games so much wish they come back
I remember playing this when I was younger on my iPod late at night. Those were the times… it’s still available on old IOS but only if you had it installed before Apple stopped verifying it
Short answer yes, but I still have yet to secure either the rights or license. I have reason to think it'll still happen, just need to hammer out the details.
@@cyperchannel5737 Everything in the original iOS release will be present. I don't have a video of the other worlds, but I have played through them to ensure that everything is working as expected. Additionally, I have both the iOS and Android versions of Junk Inc levels. I'm unsure yet how I want to handle that. Both sets of levels are worth including, so I may just make them two separate worlds.
@@cyperchannel5737 I do, but my plan is to just release an update to the existing version when the time comes. Same with the iOS version. Both of them are too old to just be re-released as-is for a variety of reasons.
I know you were bummed out by the run, but I can't make it past the first screen. It was a delight to see and learn so much about this beautiful game. Cheers.
Just curious, is strafing considered a glitch? It’s not mentioned in the manual, (from what I recall), but it’s use is shown in the demo when fighting the level 2 boss.
Its awesome to go back and watch how they did the any% run before all the optimizations that zoast, behemoth, oats and many more players have done to the game. Its hard to learn from the best. Thats why I'm going thru all the agdqs from 2012 to learn. And learn. And learn. See you at the 2013 comments section.
Best childhood game memory. My dad and I always tried to beat it when I was like 3 or 4 years old. We could never beat the cube on level 3. Lol I want a Tesla truck that shoots flames and rockets like this one. ❤️
25:14 "…unfortunately, UA just left the room." "I'm PLAYING!" :D Seriously, though, even umpty years later, thanks for these vids UA. You'll never be invisible to me. <3
this run is a blast to the past, really liked how the older GDQ runs felt more like a podcast with a room full of people having fun than a huge event. Can't really control the scale of an event getting bigger, but whatever. The fifty dollars bit felt awkward at first but was genuinely funny once I realized that everyone was into it and just there to have a good time and not to make an event run smoothly
nice job. i thought for sure you were going to die when you lost the spreader and accidentally picked up the fireballs, but that didn't seem to affect you at all.
Not gonna lie I am a fan of ya and I decided to tell my next game for you to speedrun on its originator and you should speedrun Blaster Master Zero and 2
