I can see why you'd think they were called trucks. in the UK, the front wheels of a locomotive (that aren't powered) are called a "Pony-Truck". think the front 4 wheels of a 4-6-2 pacific. so you aren't "technically" wrong, but yes, on rolling stock, they are called Bogies.

It’s not a cattle plow it is a pilot to move debri and other foreign objects on the rail way out of the way the wheels on a train if you look closely have metal bars in front of them to protect it
