Terrific point here. I am totally against some current companies producing hardware peripherals that enhance older systems for more sprites, colors, sounds, etc. Such products are scams, and are only crappy 3rd party unknown mini-consoles that suck off the old systems' legacy and power supplies. I can hook up my toaster to my NES'es power supply then and call my breakfast "Mario Toast". Really... Why solve a problem nobody has? If you want more power then play PS5 or PC games then. Keep the integrity of the old systems intact.

+1 My fave in this video.

Actually scratch that, 1 of them was Overlord/Supremacy: Your Will Be Done. The other I still can't figure out. There's also a NES platformer in which you take control of some purple creature who can glide a little, has black birds in each level, and it never scrolls; got a couple catchy tunes for the bonus levels and you succeeding one.

I'm still around lol... although my schedule has been totally intermittent since my twins were born last August. Everyone is healthy and doing well so that's about all we can ask for in these crazy days. Thank you so much for the kind words and hope you and yours are also doing well. :)

@@FridayNightArcade Brother I am doing absolutely fantastic. My career has finally taken off and so has my fiancee's. We are absolutely rocking it hard core now and I'm so grateful to finally see daylight. We paid off our house, cars, and only have just basic bills (electric, water, internet, Hulu, Xbox GamePass, and PSN). We have stayed healthy (knock on wood) and so has my parents. I don't know if you remember but my fiancee and I love all gaming from retro to brand new...we love it. We (fiancee and I) were able to secure an Xbox Series X and PS5 *physical at launch from GameStop. Enough about me... I am so elated to hear that your twins and wife are doing great. You are still slaying it here on RU-vid and I'm about to share your channel with my fellow colleagues at work (all retro gamers). What's funny is me and my partner at work are the only ones that play the new stuff...everyone else here is a retro gamer. I don't know if I can snag you some new viewers but I'm damn sure gonna try. Hey that's great news! I'm glad to hear things are going so well -- there's not much better than getting everything paid off and living the debt free life. Glad everybody is healthy and well too! At least we've got video games to keep us sane in an insane world.

@@FridayNightArcade Yes sir, we have our games to keep us going and the world is definitely out of whack. I believe things will turn around and brother if you know where to look you can see it happening. We'll be alright my friend as long as we have good family, friends, and community...I believe we both have that in spades.

Yep, the adventures of panzer is coming to nes on cartridge next year, I would know, I’m the musican :3, also most of the games are not using nes limitations. Micro mages has already released or the nes to btw

Totally fair although my experience with them in my youth was only on NES.

I should love point-and-clicks but no, I just can't finish them.

Yeah thats the reason i didn't get into gaming until the 16 bit era...i hated the nes and its fabricated difficulty.

@@FridayNightArcade Are we on the same planet? If it's a homebrew NES game I assume it would run on an actual NES. The adventure games are just windows games using NES style graphics.

@@cmr2079 From Beyond: Prologue was designed within 8-bit NES limitations with the intention of selling a physical NES cartridge in the event that the Steam version sold well enough - although unfortunately I don't believe that it did. Adventures of Panzer is getting a physical NES release next year. Infested and Spectacle are PC only with NES graphics, that is correct. But when the hell else am I gonna have a chance to mention them?

Yep. I goofed. There are 8-9 other people in this thread who pointed this out as well. They have a meeting on Thursdays at 6. Refreshments are served.
