Downloaded the app and would have gone for the pro model to encourage the developer but it is a subscription service model. Sorry, I hate subscription models, and my eyesight is not for sale on a monthly basis. Love the show and I am a subscriber.

I discovered you can also cast this to a compatible tv. What’s more you can view in landscape mode on the TV, unlike other magnifier apps. Awesome.

Best magnifier app for smart phones I’ve come across. Very easy to use and I like that the flash light can be adjusted. I think all video magnifiers should have this feature. I have the iPhone 13 which as you know has an oled screen so better for reading late at night due to much less blue light emission than led displays. Also great when combined with the iOS blue light filter. Would definitely recommend this app over buying an expensive video magnifier. Thank for the video.

The only negative thing I hear is the non free version is a monthly fee. That makes it a hard no for me. 90% of the monthly fee people just keep charging even after you unsubscribe or never do anything else with the app. $2.99 a month is just shy of $36 a year. Is the app worth $36 per year, maybe but why not just charge that instead of roping people into continual payments.

Using the free version, I had to turn off VoiceOver to back out of Presets. Other than that, I like this better than the built-in Magnifier.

I am visually impaired, but not complexly blind. I want to have a software read my document, but on pc narrator is so confusing to me. I just want it to read the actual document but it keeps reading the tools, insert tab, or whatever garbage I'm not trying to have it read. What should I do to have something read my google doc on phone or pc? This is very frustrating please help.

Windows magnifier has a built-in reading function called Magnifier reader. You can try that to see if it will read the document. There are also third-party programs that might do it. Try natural reader.

Most folks with low vision don't have the resources to pay 5 times more for an apple product. Mix it up dude.

Skips threw the video wondering if I will have to pay for it like the time I found an app that was also for android but the android app was free and the apple one was not... the iphone sucks now, so get an android phone lol. Well it is a good thing I do not usually invert shit.

This is why it's a good thing that there are options for people. Some love the iPhone, and others love Androids, while still others love and use both, depending on their various needs and situations. As for apps being paid… I'm not disagreeing with anyone's comments About this particular app being a subscription, but as someone who is very familiar with the app development process (iOS more than Android), I know that it takes a lot of time and labor. I also recognize that the blind community has a very high unemployment rate, so people Can't always afford to pay for things. And I'm not ignoring that, nor am I oblivious to the extra cost of assistive technology.. On the other hand, developers who put a lot of time into making these products also need to receive some kind of compensation for their work. As someone else said in the comments, I would rather get this app then drag my video Magnifier and other magnification equipment around if this app could work for me. Regardless of whether this app works for you or not, it is yet another solution that works for someone else and certainly something we didn't have a few years ago.
