What'd make this feature even better than it already is would be if it could recognize and save names of people, places or what have you based on pictures you share with it to be described so you won't have to keep providing it with that information in future, if it could describe multiple pictures at once and if it could describe Videos. I love it, though.

This has quickly become an integral part of my content creation workflow and just my daily life in general. It's the app I have mapped to open with the action button on the new iPhone 15 Pro. A literal game changer.
January 2024I am loving AI on the Be My Eyes I also has been using Be My Eyes app from 2020. That’s when I became blind. I love it. It has truly been a great blessing to me. 14:51
Perhaps the biggest deal to me is that it’s free…….and it is the universal design angle when incorporated into a normal price point of hardware is also accessible . I would also like to point out when scanning information how close you get makes a big difference on what kind of information you get. In my opinion is that it’s better than OCR too…… for a client at work I got very close to a display case, and scanned a bottle of perfume, and then that case it gave me the name of the bottle and the specific price while also excluding any gibberish text….. when I backed up, it talked about all of the perfumes and colognes in the display case in a more informative way and environmental way. Lastly, you can also take pictures and send other files directly to Be My Eyes for interpretation rather than taking them from inside the app. I can do this with Be My Eyes, Google lens, Supersense, in a marriage of other apps….
Hey guys I really enjoyed this video! I just got the Be My Eyes app because I'm interested in this amazing technology for a project of mine. I'm a sighted person, and I am trying to figure out how to save the picture that I'm taking. I take a pic and get an amazing text description (it's actually shockingly good) but it seems to throw the picture out. Can this program be set to save the picture on my device? (I say "device" because I'm actually using my Ipad not my phone). Anyway you guys are very funny, I just smashed and hammered that subscribe button!
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed the video! Unfortunately pictures are not saved when you take them in BeMyEyes. However, you can upload pictures from your photo gallery to BeMyEyes for recognition. To upload a picture directly from your photo gallery, open the photos app of your device and locate the picture you want to be described. Then navigate to select the "Share" button in the toolbar and navigate to "Describe with Be My Eyes". That will open the Be My AI feature and describe the picture directly in the app.

It doesn’t just use the information in the picture, I was able to use it on a menu that I lunch for one of my clubs and not only was able to separate out the starters, mains and afters, but give a description of what the actual food was likely to be from the Names that meant nothing to me that would be worth paying for in its self and I’m sure lots of sighted people could use it as well.
We tried to get some extra information in a section that was edited out of the video but didn't get it to work effectively. Thanks for letting us know that this is possible!
@@VisionForwardTechConnect another very useful feature, is that if you can share an image you can have that image described by be my AI as part of the share menu that makes going through webpages with large images. Much easier even the best webpages often have only vague descriptions of the images compared to the detailed description, the app gives you.
