YES thats excactly what im talking about! Locomotion and teleorting options! you have two thumbsticks why not utilize them both? left thumbstick for locomotion, right for Teleportation.
RIGHT? the vr era is still gonna peak hard, I'm sure that the vrsgames will get to that "halo 3/smashbrothers maximum" era that consoles had.. with walking/running, teleportation and a solid matchmaking this game would be the mother/father of all vr games
It affects how teleport direction works. With 360, it will always be based on your head direction. Which can be awkward if you're looking over your back without turning to do a quick teleport. With 180, the direction "center point" resets each teleport. So depending on which you prefer, the message removal option is a handy one.
I just got Oculus and Robo Recall... and would really like to have smooth locomotion. - I downloaded and installed V6 of the mod linked in the description. - It shows in the game mods as "Locomotion" and is Enabled. Nothing changed. "A" button doesn't open any menu. Teleportation is still on both sticks. What did I do wrong?
Now this is the way VR was meant to be played! I agree, these locomotion options should be standard VR options. That is the true path to mass appeal VR. I think the sooner the VR industry realizes that there is a very large percentage of the VR playerbase that will never find teleportation games appealing no matter how much they try and force it, the better off we'll be to avert a generation of VR that will be about as well remembered as Mad Dog McCree and CD-I.
Anyone else experiencing controller lag with this game? My hands in the game are always slower than my actual hands. It doesn't happen in any other game though.
I own PSVR and I'm super jealous of some of the great titles coming out for Rift and Vive. Robo Recall plus locomotion mod = big bag of awesome, confirmed
Smooth locomotion makes ppl ill? Wow not me! I'm 50 years old and I just got the Rift. Been flying and turning and banking all over the place... GREAT FUN... not a hint of motion sickness.
I think sickness depends on the game and how long you have been playing VR games. Skyrim gave me a bit of sickness, but that was day 2 of VR for me. I'm about 3 months into VR and I played Rise of the Gunters the other day, which was full locomotion and no sickness. Drive Club also gave me sickness around day 2 or 3, but played Assetto Corsa recently and I was fine. If there's a game you really want to play but you have sickness, just pop a 12 hour Dramamine pill. As long as you're not popping them every day, i think you'll be fine.
I would love to be able to have locomotion, but I would throw up... I actually really like the teleportation tool. Robo Recall used the Arizona SUnshine teleportation system which is awesome. This teleport allows you to teleport and turn your view at the same time..
I partly agree, the developer side of me (I built the SMB VR demo that Nathie played, check it out :P) says that we need to move forward and dream bigger and bigger, but at the same time I'm aware that more developers need to learn the differences in the way we work for VR as well as people need to learn how to play VR games and get used to actually physically moving more than just their Mouse hand and Fingers :D
Teleport only movement was what was stopping me from buying this game. Then I randomly wondered if there was a mod and I found this video. Guess I'll be buying this game then.
The mod just worked 1 time, then it was off, although i can choose the mod in the menue and so on. It is only possible now to move with teleport and i hate that. it feels like you are unable to move. awful shit. Anybody an idea?
My Oculas games load in a separate drive due to booting o a small SSD drive. Install shows the right path to the G drive but I get no Mod menu when the game starts,

Help Nathie!!! I'm using revive to play on my vive but every time I load up the game the floor height is not calibrated correctly. I'm too tall, like above the ceiling type of tall in the hub and way taller than the robots. Any help from anyone is greatly appreciated. Thanks
This is a complex issue but easy to solve step one. There is a website online that can fix iy on the oculus store. Go to there home page and wait for the products page to come up click on oculus rift. Order item to be delivered and when it arrives with touch controller and sensor. Follow instruction download game abd enjoy.
Walking locomotion looks awesome, but the teleportation aspect is still needed. For example to rooftop level, no way you can walk or super jump across some of those gaps. But with a few improvements to get the glitches out. Either way I will be downloading this mod tonight.
Do we still get onto leaderboards and unlock the mission challenges with mods enabled? I can see why it can and can't be allowed, I just personally like seeing my progress.
there's a locomotion mod that allows you to switch between teleporting and running on the fly with the B and Y buttons. It's pretty cool to go from sprinting behind a car for cover and teleporting behind enemies to kill them quickly.
Dear nathie great mod for Roble recall it feels like a proper shooter now with the addition of the ability to walk through the city. Have a great weekend. Your channel is awesome keep up the great work!
Neddskorg quote from the guy who did the mod 'Remember at this time Mods cannot be used with the main story mode. When you activate the mod there is a level list down the right hand side, you click one to start.'
Nathie keep an eye on the Oculus forums in the next day or so. To say thanks for the vid we have done you a custom set of hand guns! Also v5 loco now out
Yep as Walk-O-Motion locomotion system, but instead of falling virtualy even after real jump, i want a sort of plateform/Hoverboard to be generated under my foot IN THE AIR, when foot contacts the real floor. So the virtual would match the real.
YES! YES! YES! Nathie, can you next time hopefully try doing No Guns, robots only(Kill enemies with their own friendlies[Grab the enemies and throw it at others])
