These are great spikes. I've timed many training sprints using various spikes over the last season. My conclusion is that MaxFlys are not the answer for better top speed. In fact, I have found them to be slower on average. I've only recently been training in the Ja Fly 4, but have already hit my best speed in years (10.5 m/s) and second best of all-time (I turn 40 in less than a month). To me, the traditional spikes are still where it's at for sprinting. Bolt's records were all run on a plate akin to the old Ja Flys. The men's 100m times haven't been particularly fast in recent seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if we admit in five years that the air pockets, extra foam, etc. were just great marketing.
You are correct on many points. The Air Pocket is functional marketing keeping the spikes separate from the Carbon plate, spikes in the carbon plate would added weak/points of failure in the carbon plate. Carbon and responsive foam work great in the distance events but have not translated to the the sprints. Our favorite spike, the Prime SP = single stiff full length plate.

Both would work, depends on how stiff you like the spike plate. Stiff plate go with MaxFly, if you like some flexibility in the plate go with the Ja Fly
There is no "PERFECT" shoe. Find the spike that you are the most comfortable in and that is the shoe you will run your best in. You keep on asking the same question and will keep receiving the same answer.
tbh prime sp > finesse > superfly since both Adidas shoes is good for 100 200 400 but superfly I feel like it's more designed for 100 only, but there's athletes using the superfly to run the 200, so it's kind of up to you.
