Actually, the singer was originally going to be just a guitarist but after they couldnt find a singer, he got fed up and said "to hell with it. Ill sing." So thats why jes so good at guitar. Thats what he started with.

Dave Mustaine is the most underrated person on Earth.

Dave's voice is always a love / hate thing with people. It boils down to the fact that he was somewhat pushed into singing because they couldn't find someone they liked at that position. The haters don't consider the fact that while singing he is playing super complex guitar riffs that most people have a hard time with while not singing. Dave is my metal hero. Always has been, always will be.

That solo is full of endorphins....what a masterpiece....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

In my opinion, Dave’s solo in Holy Wars was my favorite of the album, followed by this one, and then Dave’s outro solo in 5 Magic’s. Marty’s solos have a lot of soul, which I appreciate, but Dave’s speed and aggression in his solos does it for me.

Dave Mustain , the lead singer, is a guitar God as well (originally lead guitarist for Metallica).. he can shred on lead and alternating rythm/lead with Marty

My dude, you have entered into a glorious new world of metal music and storytelling. The entire rust in peace album is was and always will be one of the best compositions Megadeth has ever done. Hangar 18 has always been my solid favorite as well as Holy Wars the Punishment Due. Every band member gets time to showcase their skills. Megadeth was my favorite band for a looong time before I decided I liked way to many to have just one favorite. Two songs you should react to that you probably won’t get a lot of requests for are an instrumental called into the lungs of hell, and I don’t know about should but I enjoy the song liar off of the so far, so good, so what album. Really enjoy your reactions.

I’ve binge watched your videos and appreciate that you listened to the majority of this classic album/ death flesh and the power it holds. Trust me when I tell you that the album symbolic is the only one that compares to Rust in peace. You mentioned at the end that Megadeth didn’t get it’s due, Death is unbearably underrated 🤘🏻❤️

It’s my favorite song on the album. You should give their latest album a listen. It’s called Dystopia. Although Megadeth has been nominated for a Grammy about 13-14 times, Dystopia actually won their first.

Marty Friedman's solo is miraculous in that it is incredibly melodic, soulful and technical all at once. With most guitarists you're lucky to get two out of the three.

Without wishing to break into your thoughts on this excellent piece of music, might I suggest listening to some stuff by the English band Muse, if you haven't already? Notably: Plug in baby (Live in Rome version); Time is running out; Butterflies and hurricanes; Stockholm syndrome; Starlight; Supermassive black hole; Hysteria. I'm sure that other fans will advocate for more Muse material, but that's just a sample.

Great reaction! Check out "Holy Wars" it is one of their best songs imo. They have so many great songs that I would probably end up saying that about most of their songs to be honest lol. But yeah, "holy wars. ...the punishment due" is an experience just like every song on this album. "Countdown to extinction" is another great album imo and their are some real gems on it. "Ashes in your mouth" is another song you just have to hear! One of my favorites amongst the many awesome compositions of this band! They have plenty of songs and albums to check out so enjoy!

The last great Megadeth album. Dave is not only a great rythm guitar player, but he is also a great lead player as well. And he might not be the greatest singer, but his vocal style fits perfectly with their music.

My man. Everyone always suggests every other album but Killing is my business... Check any of the songs out of that album from the newest remaster. That stuff'll blow you off your seat. The best metal album of 80's imo.

A few comments. Yes, you will hear no one that sounds like Dave Mustaine. His voice is as unique as anyone in metal. This is my second favorite song of theirs. As far as the guitar work, Megadeth is good for two reasons. First, Dave Mustaine is legitimately a top five to ten guitarist alltime. Second, he is not afraid to hire guitarists who are just as good as he is, and let them play. The guitarist who played the solo on this song is Marty Friedman, and that solo, many people believe, is the best metal solo ever (It is my second favorite). Other songs by Megadeth. From Rust in Peace, Holy Wars, Hangar 18 and The Five Magic’s. Other songs are, Trust, A Tout Le Monde, Symphony of Destruction, Countdown to Extinction, Ashes in Your Mouth. No More Mr. Nice Guy, Anarchy in the UK, In my Darkest Hour, Hook in Mouth, Peace Sells, Wake Up Dead and Devils Island.

I just wish they could have recorded a couple more albums like this. Countdown and Youthanasia are perfectly respectable, but not close to this level. I guess I'm being greedy!
