Siem Reap has a lot to offer. Whether you're there to relax by the lovely lake, sample the amazing food or tour the magnificent Angkor temples, there is so much to do.
Well, we did all of the above and checked out the AMAZING local markets too.
This includes the 'old Market' in the center of Siem Reap, with it's bustling atmosphere, affordable, high quality products where we purchased some super comfy clothing as well as delicious fruits.
Another worthy mention goes to the 'Made in Cambodia' market. A locally run market where local traders provide a calm and welcoming environment to sell their uniquely made goods. A total opposite experience of the 'Old Market' regarding the noise level but still with friendly vendors and great products.
We also explored the streets of Siem Reap and came across roads with numerous stalls where other vendors decided to sell their goods, also offering similar Cambodian made products.
There are many shopping locations but visiting local markets is a great experience no matter where you go and Siem Reap, Cambodia was no different.
We purchased a lot from the local Khmer people and fully enjoyed the shopping experience.
