I've got a DIY do-it-yourself podcast where I talk about any topics related to home, garden, working with contractors, etc. Although I am definitely a visual RU-vid channel, there are deeper conversations that can be had about home and diy projects.
There are so many interesting things to discuss regarding home and DIY projects! For example, why do people choose to undertake these projects in the first place? Is it to save money or get a sense of satisfaction from completing a task? Or is there something else that motivates people to take on these challenges? So I agree with you that there is some conversation that people can learn from as they listen to your podcast.
I’m thinking of starting up a podcast (well I plan to lol). It’s about basically just creating a safe environment for venting and talking about how we’re getting through it. The topics I felt could be simple day to day stuff but by the end of the podcast we regroup and focus on how we’re still getting through it. I’d appreciate any thoughts or tips!!
Hey Jovan! Your niche idea is awesome. Here's a tip: be genuine in your conversations-authenticity resonates with listeners. Stick to a regular schedule so your audience knows when to expect new episodes. Invest in decent audio quality with a good microphone, and consider using easy-to-use editing software like Audacity. Engage with your audience on social media, encouraging them to share their stories to build a community. Your idea has limitless potential, and I'm sure many will connect with your journey. Good luck, and enjoy the process! Hope that helps. If you have any other concerns, shoot us an email at support@buzzsprout.com
To steer clear of copyright concerns when it comes to stories, try exploring public domain works or obtain consent from the original creators. I hope that helps! 😊
