Get coerced or discriminated. Hurray! More technical stuff: Is there any list what kind of data they suppose to collect? Did anyone checked firmware how device actually works? Or we suppose to blindly trust?

Regarding ambient light situations.....how much better can projectors get in the future? Has the technology almost peaked? With the prices of very large screen tvs coming down every year, what exactly is the future of home media over the next decade?

I ordered the Awol 3000 pro with the 120" cinematic screen. I'm a little worried after ordering it because I've seen a few videos and pictures where the Whites/Skin tones seem really red. Is this something you noticed?

interesting for the price point, between this model and Formovie Theater, what would be the best choice?

Question: Does anyone know which 3d formats it supports? I have some 3d-Top&Bottom content, but some other projectors don’t support it.
@Leo-qy2hi

Full 3D formates(Top-bottom, side by side, frame pack, frame continuous) supported well in awol unit

Hi techtablets, looking to buy the AWOL. Did you ever review the AWOL 3500 before they added dolby vision. Just wondered if the extra brightness made a difference to black level compared to this? I will be projecting onto a 100" ALR screen.

Great review I have this model it is even more amazing than your video shows. I haven’t watched my 75” oled since hooking this up. Your not going to get 120” out of an oled because they don’t make them. Don’t underestimate size. If you can afford it it’s so worth it. It’s lasers, not bulbs.

Yes I really don't do it justice in my video recording projectors is so damn difficult but this projectora image is stunning really been enjoying it. The size an quality is so worth it.

are you using a fixed frame or rising 120"? Asking because I'm wanting this or 3500 pro with 120" fixed frame and have 8.5" basement ceilings. Will 120" work for this height?
@Nosmoke2024

What’s the warranty on this? Who repairs if anything goes wrong AWOL?? From what I’ve heard from an owner they don’t last past the warranty.
@jaychannel8558
@jaychannel8558 8 месяцев назад
@@Nosmoke2024 the warranty is two years. The laser diode lasts 25,000 hours. Your friend is misleading you as no units have past the warranty period. It’s the best UST bar none I’ve ever experienced.

The projector looks amazing, 120" are a lot! I guess if you want to go bigger with no compromises, you have no other choice, since OLEDs of this size you won't find them at human prices. But 4,998$ with the cinematic screen are expensive.
@ahoerauf94
@ahoerauf94 10 месяцев назад
Will a fixed 120” screen work for a 8.5” basement ceiling?
@jasonw6091
@jasonw6091 8 месяцев назад
The 120" floor rising screen that it pairs with is 76.8" (6' 4.8") floor to ceiling, so a fixed screen should easily fit in an 8'5" basement.

Different experience this for for that home theater experience, very larger screen sizes more than OLED TV's. But yet listed as a con once you factor in a quality screen and the unit it's expensive. But all good UST projectors are.

App regisitration required? Is it secure? I would put this on a seperate network one paired to the app never to the home network you use. Also monitor for any malisous packet data going to Chinese servers and block outgoing ports.

Hopefully these come down in price over time. $3k for the projector and $2k for a ALR screen is a tough pill when it brings you to basically the same price as a 77-83” OLED or a 98” LED.

I prefer the DONGLE approach that most projectors are now using. Means there's little brains in the Projector that can become outdated, 100% of the processor can be used for image processing, and you can keep the projector dumb.

For cost if your not going bigger then 120 to 150 inches I'd just get a 86" 4k TV but if you try to find a 4k tv over 100" they cost around the 7 to 20k range this is the cheapest you are going to get for the highest quality to go up to 150" there are other laser projectors now that are being discounted under 2k that will go that big but they are not on the same level of quality as the AWOL or the formovie
@Techtablets
@Techtablets 10 месяцев назад
That's correct the very large TVs are insanely expensive and really something like this is a much better choice. But fir those happy with 75-65" a good LG 4k120hz OLED screen would do the job.

@bloodybarron
@bloodybarron 10 месяцев назад
As good as this image looks I think I would rather have a large OLED screen. Just factory in the price of your screen and the 4k projector christ mate you're looking at over $5500! So it better be bloody good but you don't have the deep oled black levels, or that low latancy for gaming. Hard pass. The only good thing is it can be moved easy unlike a larger 4k OLD TV.

This projector has a lag latency of 8 to 12 MS. that’s plenty fine. If you’re trying to do better than that you should be on a PC anyway.

Ouch on that pricing! Holy moly that is quite steep. It's gonna be quite a number of years before I am able to afford one. I need similar performance at about half the price. I am looking to spend closer to 2 thousand this a bit too expensive for me. Perhaps it's just me who doesn't understand why they cost so much but I liked the review and how thorough it was. I am not really familiar with projectors but shouldn't they be less expensive than like OLED's or the like they're alternatives to televisions right?
@Techtablets
@Techtablets 9 месяцев назад
UST especially are very expensive and yes they should be cheaper I think but that's how it is at the moment. When you factor in a really good ALR screen you're looking at a huge investment. I would rather have a 75" OLED TV...
@piplup10203854
@piplup10203854 9 месяцев назад
@@Techtablets Right?! Yeah, I agree with you. I'd rather have a 75" OLED TV. That's really drives the price up is factoring in a good ALR screen. Yeah it would be nice to have them be a bit cheaper and more accessible. Definitely one of those things if you have the extra disposable income then sure go for it lol
