Wow! What a great video! Why can't Amazon build videos like that? Their documentation is so cryptic... Why can't they just say that you have to manage the Simple AD through an EC2. I spent hours looking for a screen and information on how to add more users... nothing. Until I found your video. Much appreciated!

Hmm... got all the way to the computer joining the domain and it says it doesn't like my user/pw .. but I'm using the same one I used to login on the computer. Do I need to be using a different user? Where would I create that?

I would suggest, create new AMI with all your settings for new EC2 deployments and another method use dnscmd to add dns entry remotely

for that we need to ensure in security group rdp port is open and new user is part of RDP access for that server or simply add new user in server local Administrator group for troubleshooting...

thank you for the tutorial, I got stuck at dns error & it was not mentioned in the AWS documentation that I need to changee the dns config on the network adapter 🥲🥲
