Ever wonder what the AWS Pricing for CloudFront for your small to medium size blog would be? If you've given up trying to use the AWS Calculator to determine a monthly cost for using CloudFront on your WordPress Blog, than this video is just what you've been looking for.

Still using CloudFront as my CDN for multiple blogs. Monthly cost has been under $1/month. I wouldn’t change a thing.

I have not done any in depth research, but I do know you can purchase something called a reserved instance which does provide you a discount.

If you are a new AWS user there is no cost, with a few constraints. The zero cost is only good for the first 12 months, and there are some limits that vary with each service that is offered, so you'll want to check that.

That seems pretty expensive for a small amount of data. I must easily use several gigs a day from streaming services (especially with 4k) that use Aws like Netflix and they must be paying a fraction per GB else I'd be costing them hundreds a month.

I’m not clear how Netflix is architected, but I recall reading they were Amazon’s biggest AWS customer. If I recall, they were spending something like $10 million per month and that was a fee years ago. For a small blog I can confirm using AWS CloudFront is dirt cheap. I spend well under $1/month (for multiple blogs) and it’s been that way for years.

You didn't explain your EC2 usage :/. How the hell does that work? My EC2 T2 micro cost me already over 13 $ per month.

This video covers the CloudFront costs for my blog. EC2 instances have nothing to do with CloudFront in this case. If you are interested in understanding the EC2 costs for a test blog I set up, Ive got another video that covers that.
