A small tip. Flashing daggers and aoe skills are mostly bad for damage. But you can use them to get rid of tokens, which are not in your favor. For example, when grave robber is blind, or enemy has protection or dodge. In that way if someone alone in the middle has token of protection, you still do damage to another and clear bad token. If both of them have bad token, you get rid of two tokens at once.
Dont forget to eat food at the inn. And a small tip not a spoiler so dont worry. If you see rare trinkets indicated in gold border, dont hesitate to take it if their effects are good. Chances are you are not getting any better items than that because you haven't unlocked any good trinkets yet at the altar of hope. Those are pretty rare, like the one at the last inn that gives 20% health boost.
Holy smokes, Odd! This is your first run and you're going toe to toe with a Shambler. What's more impressive is you somehow managed to muscle through another tough fight, despite negative relationships hamstringing you. Colour me impressed!
Was I the only one feeling the anxiety and sweatiness? Don't get me wrong, I'm loving each second of it. Thank you very, very much for the long episodes of this super interesting and hooking series!!! 😁
Loving the series! Deathblow on enemies who have it works the same as on heroes. Even if you negate their deathblow resist down to zero, they will still go on death's door, just like a hero would. Zero death blow resist just means the first hit on death's door will always be a kill. The number is the percent chance of being killed when on death's door. The percent chance of going to death's door is always 100%. Monsters that never go to death's door have a hyphen through their death blow because they don't use the death blow mechanic at all.
"Wyrd" is the anglo-saxon word for "weird" and pronounced the same way. Interestingly, it was used mainly in the context of destiny; as in, our destiny is wyrd - that is - it is unknown and usually not what we aim for.
YES!! Experiment, try, fall in LOVE or in DESPAIR, live and die! That's Darkest Dungeon!! And do not forget to spend what you can: you will not keep your gold in the grave... Or even after the Mountain, if you may survive...
It feels like there is significantly more micromanagement (re-choosing abilities every time you start a new expedition, having to assign combat items, etc.) then there was in the first one and I'm still undecided how I feel about that! I also dislike that stress is linked directly to HP and a stress break brings them down to near 0 HP. In the previous game I always managed those as two separate "health" bars.
Id say the micromanagement is good. In the OG you pretty much had to play on meta, or get fucked, here the roguelike nature vill necessitate a more varied approach.
In that erly version blague doctor had that one really broken skill what healed evryone and same time removed all negative effects it was so strong that with that only single skill he could easily carry any combination of heroes.
Well done Chris. Yeah those Shamblers are nasty and I made the exact same assumption that the spawn would go once Mama was destroyed. And yep they do pack a wallop don't they.? Remember to use your laudenaum to also reduce stress. Your team are now all likely to have a negative meltdown which in their current state would be really bad. Good luck and IF you run into the Boss in the city mabye not go all the way given the negatives on Beardo's darts (that is really bad luck as that's her second best basic attack and long range as well).
The severe lack of ‘stun’ in DD2 compared to DD1 really makes it feel different, though I hope there’s some counter measures to that as damn… runs are gonna be hard.
@@memator1996 well you still have stun here, it just usually conditional or requires upgraded skills. its not so easily available now. it has a bluish four arrows or something for its symbol
Hey Chris, if you're taking requests for who to put in the Altar of Hope then I do have a request. For me, I'd prefer to see more of the same person's story, so in this case, Eclipse. I understand that it's not always the best idea for moves or availability, etc, but my personal preference would be to see most of a story played out in rapid succession, rather than split over potentially 20 - 30 episodes.
hi Odd, VERY happy to see the recent return to the classic, edited image/video snapshot style thumbnails as opposed to AI generated ones. myself and many other artists have had our livelihoods threatened and in some cases have been entirely replaced by employers preferring to use a cheaper alternative of AI generation. yours is my absolute favorite let’s play channel and in all honesty, it was very discouraging to see the same issue working it’s way into your series I enjoy watching so much. just felt like I couldn’t carry on watching in good conscience without mentioning this. I sincerely hope the thumbnails don’t revert back to AI generated images in the future. that being said, wishing you all the best. cheers.
Ya this game just stressful. My poison dart lady n caz started dating then got stressed and it went baaad. So quick too. I will give another try but such hateful chars.
@@XFizzlepop-Berrytwist yea didn’t play that one also but it at least had a bit more of a story so I could watch it, DD2 has more personal “hero” stories/development which just seems a timesink
