You don't need to do that, bro. The pre-excuse to soften the blow for people. It devalues your points when you do it like rehashing things you have a problem with just so you don't "offend" someone. This is no different than saying things like "I'm not racist, BUT..." It weakens anything you say after that, and from an outside perspective, it overshadows anything after it. Not saying you mean to do that, or that you are doing something wrong necessarily, but any sane person knows that you don't 100% agree with anyone, and you don't 100% claim allegiance to a political ideology. It's playing along with the stupid rules they put into place to censor real talk.

You know the old saying "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me". I think we need to go back to that time...teach our kids not to put so much stock into name calling. If you walk around waiting for someone to wrong you, you will find it even if it is just perceived. I tell my grandkids the bullies do not matter, quit giving them the power to upset you and hurt your feelings. My grandson spent time in the school bathroom because other kids called him short and gay. After a talk he said if they say anything else to him he was going to respond "even if I was gay you still wouldn't be my type". Teach them it's ok and to be strong enough to handle the ugly people....

I was SO stoked to see this pop up! I really like how you break down Tom's songs. Just wanted to say, yes, it's seriously time to stop stereotyping. My family is a rainbow through marriage, adoption and the kids that came out of those situations. I'm fed up with the world trying to put us all in separate boxes based on skin color. Can't speak for Americans that say they hate America since I'm not one of them. Disclaimer: I am 100% Puerto Rican from Bronx, NY and am a HUGE Patriot of the US. Just wanted to say that. But, I honestly think those that say they hate America actually hate their circumstance within America. Living down south has made me appreciate that there are good and bad within all colors and nationalities. Learn to steer clear of the bad/toxic and pay more attention to the good. Good review. It’s the fourth I’ve watched. Everyone is saying the same thing: “People will be mad!” But doesn’t that prove his point-that people get triggered by the wrong words, or by NOT using the right words? Like you said, it’s beyond satire. It’s very “raw” social commentary, but also very sophisticated because of the examples he uses, and because he goes to the heart of the matter, like he did in his last video, but he’s actually pointing to the source in a more direct way now.
