You could not see the impact of Gambhir in this match ? I could see it clearly in the team strategy. He ensured that the team played with lots of Left handers and he tried to ensure that left and right hand combination were at the crease. This left right combination upsets the fielding side as well as leg umpire. Other thing that I noticed was that he wanted good number of allrounders in the side so that neither batting nor bowling were weakened. He also ensured that at least one left arm pacer was there in the playing XI. In other words, he followed the template of the side that India had when India won 2011 ODI world cup. The recent T20 WC team also followed this 2011 WC template but that was by coincidence and not by any conscious planning, seeing that 2023 ODI world cup side did not have top order left hand batsmen, left hand pace bowlers and plethora of allrounders. In case of Gautam Gambhir, he is consciously taking pro active measures. Bowling Rian Parag appears to be Gambhir's idea to me, which turned out to be a big success.
Not sure if you remember, but the first time SKY captained in T20Is, he played four lefties in the top seven. So he’s aware of the R/L importance. That doesn’t necessarily have to be a Gambhir influence. And he also played several allrounders during that series, so nothing to suggest this was all about Gambhir. Definitely the coach and captain are on the same page, which is good to see.

Also i think with gambhir in , he will back the players if they play with intent even if they get low runs . As we saw that gill is playing more selflessly. This'll increase team bonding which wasn't much there earlier i guess

I'm just wondering if pant should be given more chances in t20s . He is just not reliable in this format. The shots are ridiculous and he has failed time and again. He is not a youngster anymore. I hope samson is given a chance in this format.
