This comes as a ready to run with 2.4Ghz radio and basically everything you need to get out there and get introduced to a little crawling. The kit leaves a bit to be desired but is still a great value for an entry level rock crawler

One word Tcs cralwer X-trail frame. Put weight in wheels get alum links and scale body.= one awesome truck.

Ax10 are going up in price now… these will be collectors item, especially the ax10 scorpion kit with the b-17 Betty body

i love my ax-10.i haven't done much as far as mods. just tied the front upper shock mouts and rear upper shock mounts together,,changed the steering linkage to make it more precise,trimmed the body so no matter how much articulation the body won't rub and bent metal lower links.i also hid the antenna under the body so it won't get torn off in case of a rollover.

just a tip. i have one and if you have a 7.4v, there is a battery plate to mount on the front axle. You might have known that but i am just putting it out there

I bought the AX10 as a work horse for autonomous gps FPV. Basic design and can carry weight low over servo or rear centre links.

what can the AE-1 esc handle? I bought an older scorpion that had the AR-1 RX and AE-1 esc. (am) I can't figure out how to put it in reverse either, the guy said his dad disabled the reverse for competitons which I can't stand.

It'll crawl great if you add weights to the wheels and use a light weight lipo. True 4-link suspension would be a must.

it is a very nice crawler i have hade mine for about 4 years!! and shes still pulllin hard, the only down side is the set screws in the drive shaft always come lose and i always lose 4WD and locktite doesnt work for some reason all in all if you get a new drive shaft setup for like 30$ i personally would give it a 8 out of 10!

I bought an ax-10 back in 2007 when they first came out. changed tires, had the battery mounted on the front axle, etc. It was a great crawler. I think these guys are a bit spoiled by the xr-10. Can't really compare the two crawlers. oranges and tangerines :D

I was looking for an 1/8 scale crawler. Is the madtorque a nice one? it seems quite cheap and would I be able to get parts for it? I was also wondering if you guys know more 1/8th scale crawlers for me to check out. I have been out of the hobby for a while
