Axial is CHEATING! - SCX10 Pro

Great video! All links needed for 3- or 4-link are included. It's a 40% underdrive to the rear wheels. I found a small flat blade screwdriver is the easiest way to move the selector level for the underdrive

I think this will be an awesome addition to the fleet. I love the fact of a straight axle build and the adjustability an upgrades I see in the future for this is going amazing. Axial definitely didn't disappoint on this one.

Wondering how many we will see at Rocky Mountain Regional, out crawling around, and Maybe in a Comp ? Not too bad on price, and I like it offered as a slider, I'll have to see it in person 1st, but who knows Maybe there is another Axial in my future. 🤔

Probably the most interesting axial to me right now, I like that there is no body, tires or even wheels but maybe would've preferred portal axles. Waiting to hear how well the overdrive switching works while driving

Great looking build with all the newest fearures! Nice to see Axial release a more competitive kit. I like that it leaves the option of body and wheel/tires up to the builder (always a very personal choice) but would like to see it come in a little bit cheaper, maybe $399? Going to be fun to see where this goes! 👍

Its a good start. I'd rather see dig than selectable OD, preferably front and rear dig like the Losi LCC. I am anxious to see if Element will answer with a new offering using their new forward mount/laydown trans and hopefully new high pinion axles.

Congrats to Axial for upping their game, will likely be getting one. Would've been nice to include a body, though.

Factory flat railed cheater chassis I dig it and if carbon fiber chassis rails are released for it I'm all in. This is the first axial kit in long time I'm excited about

Really great to see. A good sign of adoption and the versatility is really cool. Interesting they went with so much overdrive but maybe due to the weight distribution and overall potential weight. A lot of performance value in the package and seems like a friendly intro to LCG realm. Very nice.

Axial hit it out of the park with this one! The price is a little steep for a kit but still comparable to the cost of piecing one together with chassis, axles, trans, and links.

Pretty cool looking rig. For my self I am going to get the new vanquish over this, simply since i do not have a vanquish rig. Since you are good friends with the guys at axial, tell them they should re-release the Betty body!!!🤘🤘🤘

I may have to get one. Wish the skid was steeper and the axles a bit wider. Already run a couple Capra axled cheaters w/ 12 degree skids. Not sure if I'm capable of reeling it back in from hardline outlaw land 🤣

Comp rigs to the masses, yeah.... your excitement is about the same as mine. I'm surprised it didn't come with a half chopped up power wagon body and some scale hyrax tires lol. Oh well, good on them I can see this still being well received

Dude my rock pirate interceptor build was $250. NO: -skid plate -links -drive shafts -axles (LOADED) -hardware -transmission -AND OVER OR UNDERDRIVE -front bumpers -rear bumpers -INSTRUCTIONS..for some that’s very much appreciated. -this thing for dollar smokes any flat rail build. And I’ll put money it will roll easy with my rockpirate. Mine is scx10ii based. And this rig other than tranny which there’s “3gear” should have a respectable lower weight. Awesome idea and backed with customer service reputation so forth. I’d still just buy the phoenix RTR and couple servos😂. Thanks for the news!

A positive direction for Axial. You will never create a build kit that satisfies everyone's personal preferences but they did a great job of creating a starting point for some and a leap forward for others. I don't quite understand the transmission aspect but maybe that will bring the overdrive shift into the mainstream.

I've seen the pictures of the axle mount I honestly think it's ugly and I see it as a problem with hanging up but the selectable over drive is something I need to try lol

With this new kit, do you think they will drop the 10.2 Raw Builders Kit? I really hope not.

Sorrca 2023 height is measured from bottom of body or slider to top of roofline. So if the bottom of slider adds 1/4” it can be class 2 compliant

Would like to see your pick of all custom parts this kits is pulling together in one box.. Your choice for axles, rails, transmission.. add up those cost verse what you get here. Pros cons of fully custom and one stop shop

Not thrilled by the zero or 40% overdrive. 30% OD is my desired max. Probably will wait to see the upgrades. Great that there are no body/tires/wheels or electronics included.

How does the cliffhanger body sit on this chassis? I have a cliffhanger body still in the pgk that I was considering building a comp chassis for, this seems like a simple all in one box chassis.

I get the effort but a gspeed truck if you want something like this or a vs4 10 platform and you won't be disappointed

Just built mine today. Instructions are sub par. Vanquish phoenix is so much more complicated but sooooo much easier to build. I think of ikea when I built my pro....

I like it. I think I may actually get one. Axial gave us all a proper release hahahahaha. I think a cliffhanger would be perfect.

Nice review buddy👍😀 I ve only been in this hobby for about three years and after a lot of money wasting I now have five pretty capable rigs in the axial bomber,scz10 11,scx10 11 Unimog 6x6,traxxas 2021 bronco and a trx6,all of which have been modified or upgraded in some way.I was looking for something a bit diferent and was considering the trx4 sport traxx version untill I heard about this. For me,someone who has never built a kit and has limited knowledge on the lcg scene then this is ideal. Sure it’s not cheap but axial are generally pretty good and I m a big fan of their rigs.I m estimating a total cost of about £750 with brushless fitted,when you look at some rigs at that price point then I think that’s pretty ok for that level. I looked at a rc4wd crawler at £680,but it’s got a £22 esc fitted,the hobbywing 1060! Really? I d have expected a bit more at that price point tbh. This is the one for me and i ve got one on backorder as they wo nt reach the uk for a few weeks,I ll do a video in due course.👍👍😀 Of course a lot is just down to personal preference and choice,this is just my thoughts on things.👍😀

Id love to see a 4WS kit from the factory. This seems like it screams for a 4WS option and I never want to spend like 100+ dollars on another front axle! Just give me one from the factory!!!

Digging everything but the transmission and the price. I'm currently looking for a new class 2. I've decided I'm not modifying Boris (my current class2) so, I'm shopping. I've bought 9 Vanquish trucks, and about the same in axial. I was thinking about an associated this time. But a serious deciding factor question, Where is the Phoenix assembled. Axles seem like the best feature. Skid /Transmission seems kinda wonky to me .
