That new scx6 is huge!! What a cool vehicle. I have to give a big thumbs up to the summit though....for an RC truck that is like 12 years old now it is still a very capable trail crawler and fun truck to play with.
This was actually a comparison I was looking for. the TRX4 is very capable and some mechanical moved from the summit to make it possible. I think it is high time they make a v2 summit and at the very least a response to this 1/6th scale crawler segment. I assume they will do the latter. The Summit has been my favorite RC since it came out. Add a sensored brushless setup, LEM shift gears and axles and it is the ultimate Basher and crawler.
With wider tires and half the weight of the SCX the Summit isn´t that bad as you can see. Build mine a bit more scale so it also looks really nice. But I like the SCX 6 as well because it is the biggest scaler with high quality!
So 1000. Or 550... axial is heavier...wow in the mud it will sink...still for the money ...can't beat a summit... have a capria twin steer. Guaranteed go places both theses trucks can't go.. ask yourself what you want to do? Crawl, bash, or all around... love to see this up against traction hobby... another oversize jeep!
