I man handled one the other day at the local shop and was impressed with the design. For its intended purpose I think it will be an absolute animal. Thanks for the insight.
Man it is a BEAST!!!! I "have to go" to the hobby shop today to pick up some stuff, they have 3 in stock!!!🤔🤔🤔 It looks like a jack rabbit hopping everywhere!!!🤘🤘🤘
I like it and think it's got potential but I think it's actually a little too high strung. Ive watched videos of the full sized rock bouncers and think this is a bit too fast. Maybe a different brushless system in it and some more weight down low to get it acting a little more realistic. Excited to see more thoufh
Great footage. I have been waiting to see the Ryft operate in this environment. You have the best content on RU-vid for crawling, thanks for your efforts.
From my past illustrious (😂) career as a sponsored rc racer up & down the east coast years ago, I do so love georgia and Florida clay! The smell reminds me of those days! 👍
not a crawler? But don't they need that capability? Watch Busted Knuckle and Madram11 vids and depending on the course, there are times that even the full scale rigs have to creep to get that alignment before they punch 'em or to get out of trouble. Still have mine in a wishlist, on the fence because of the axles and diff gears. Guess a little while longer before we see if Axial will address the issues and upgrades or third parties to do so.
Yeah it’s got to be capable. I’ve got to edit together a video I did today with the Axe 3300 in it. These tires are awesome but it’s simply not geared to crawl at all.
It definitaly looks awesome. Hope you can get rid of some of that torque twist tho. And looking forward to you converting it to a crawler. keep it up man!
@@ExocagedRC I totally understand. At first I thought it was just a bigger Capra, but they’re actually very different. I thought about making a Capra bouncer like you did. But now I want a Ryft too. It’s awesome and looks like a ton of fun. Jumps nice too!
I broke mine the second time out but Horizon Hobby customer service was on point and had one in the mail to me the next day. Bummed about the weak housing but great customer service. Hopefully someone makes an aluminum one soon. It needs something stronger for sure.
Don’t. I’ve got that in the editor for tomorrow. Was not impressed with it at all and I’m going to go to a Castle Monster X with a Holmes 2100kv motor.
@@ExocagedRC yeah, but it’s 60amp (instead of the G2 version 80amp)so basically the previous generation Axe. It also doesn’t have Bluetooth. Pretty stinky how much they are charging for it. Nice and all that you can use your transmitter to program, but you need a DX5 to do so. Otherwise have to use the beep beep switch button or the Spektrum programmer box. I’d much rather have my G2 Axe where I can use my phone with the app to program
@@rc-daily yeah, it’s ok but it’s still easier to program with the phone app on the regular Axe than fumbling through any beep beep menu on a transmitter 😆
Honest question. I have one still in the box unopened. Kind of worried about the durability of this thing. Your video actually gives me hope. Keep or return ?? What do u guys think.
I did not buy mine I was on waiting list. When I saw axials video I had to have it. Meh I will wait. To many issues with it. And Yes I’m a veteran at RC
If you go slow it 'cogs' terribly. If you go fast the OEM axle housings are in peril and the tall, high traction tires easily cause it to flip. Axial, I love ya, but you're not thinking things through.
Lol. If it's a rock bouncer you can't beat on its not really worth the purchase in my opinion. They beat rock bouncers to death In the full size world. Lol. Quit taking it so easy and let it eat. Lol.
Well, it hasn’t made it to its full potential yet. Over time we will see these get better and better as everyone figures them out. Just like the Capra was when it came out.
