Much appreciated, my friend!! It's crazy how far we've come in such a short period of time-it's absolutely thanks to this incredible community! 🤘🏼🤙🏼🤘🏼🍻
Gate 7 I think where he used his foot…in our local comps in regular C2 we call it “JUDGES WINCH” you get 1 truck length through the gate without hitting it but counts as a touch for +5 in C2 pro class judges winch is not allowed we also do not allow it on any bonus gates
I like this concept a ton, thank you so much for sharing! I think we have a ton of informal competitors that this could apply to very well. Cheers! 🤘🏼🤙🏼🍻
@@highnoonhobby definitely helps get more people in it to compete and it not be so intimidating with a less then capable truck. You basically just need to make it 1 truck length to the gate and the judge can use discretion if it’s “allowable” to practically use the “JW”
This is good to hear! I'm preparing some longer content as well, but these shorter videos help give me the time I need to spend a few weeks editing better, longer videos as well. Thank you so much for your insight! 🤘🏼🤙🏼
Sorry, we don't have the rules publicly listed, but I found these from a previous event post: Competition Rules Scoring Low score wins. Hitting a gate is a 10 point penalty the entire gate is dead when one cone is hit. Reverse is a 1 point penalty. Clean through a bonus gate is -10 points. Hitting a bonus gate is a 10 point penalty. Bonus gates can be run at any time before gate 10 is crossed. A rollover is 5 points to upright the truck. Reposition is 10 points to move the truck back on course. You can place truck at previous cleared gate! Mechanical repair while on course is a one time 5 point penalty. (Loose screws, battery change, etc.) Use of a winch is 5 points. Repair while on course is 10 points (between courses no penalty) Course runs will be timed for a tie breaker. Time limit for each course Course flow Gates must be completed in order and traveled through in the specified direction. Numbered and Arrow directional cones will be on each gate to help. If you can not complete a gate, you must kill the gate to move on, which will add to your score. If you DNF the course each gate not completed is a 15 point penalty. Backing through a gate in the specified gate direction is allowed. Gates are directional, you can not back through a gate from the wrong side then travel through forward to clean the gate, It must only be entered from the specified direction. You must attempt to make it to a gate to kill it, if you can not reach the gate, the judge can mark it as a dead gate and you can move on to the next gate after an attempt to reach it. Boundary lines are equivalent to hitting a cone, same as a cone if it is touched at all it is a 10 point penalty. If you roll across the line it is a 10 point penalty. Stay within the boundary line. You do not have to finish a bonus you have attempted, you are free to move on at any point. Course run will be timed. Overall time on all courses is the tie breaker, if time is the same course 1 score is tie breaker then 2 and so on. If a truck moves anything to disrupt a cone, it is not counted as a gate penalty. Vehicle Classes Class will be designated on score sheet before starting courses. Courses will be the same for all classes including gate widths. Gate width minimum 13” Class 2 4.75” max tire height Chassis rails with chassis mounted motor and transmission No use of Dig allowed No use of rear steer allowed. Capra is allowed in Comp car class as long as no dig or 4WS is used. Class 3 Rear Steer and dig allowed 5.75 max tire height frame rails must be the length of wheelbase! Unlimited class Moa and Sportys welcome No restrictions.
No that last Gate was such a nasty side hill it had to be “shot” at a proper speed or you would roll over it. And there’s a Cliff on the low side so only the down to it
Not at all! We say the best drivers in Utah, but we have drivers joining us from Utah, Nevada, California, Idaho, and Montana. To clinch a top 5 spot, however, you had to qualify for the finals in a previous event-so you can't just come into the finals and compete without prior exposure to the series.
Lol if the guy who sets up the course can run it flawlessly every time, I think that's probably a ridiculously boring course. But to each their own! I think Luke could've hit it again and probably done much better-that's part of the fun of crawling! 🤘🏼 Cheers 🍻
