Thanks. I'm lucky to have some decent trails within 30 mins drive but this spot withing walking distance so is my local testing ground. I find 100mm perfect for 120mm 1.9's and 110mm for 2.2's
Yep. They've also had a water test and no problems. I can buy them from local discount/£1 shops for......£1 each. 120mm ones would be a better fit for the 2.2's as I would need the EPP foam packer that's in there now
I was pleased with the performance. I deliberately tried to run it slowly over the terrain as the Wraith is a bit more of a point and gas it model. There were only a few times that I needed to open the taps :-)
Try "Hair bun donuts" www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bun-Mesh-Hair-Style-Donut-Former-Ring-Bun-Maker/324388212870?hash=item4b870b5086:g:GgMAAOSw~xBfvQon but I found mine at discount chains in the UK. B&M Bargains for 80-100mm and Poundstretchers for 110mm it it depends which country you are in. Worth a looking the hair product aisle in your local Chemists etc. Here's a mates comparison test against Pro-Line Dual Stage foams ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0PjHkrXueQs.html
Thanks Dan. Really happy at how they performed. They are not too soft so ok when side running. Maybe it's too early to say how they hold up but I'll do more testing and source some to try them in my 1.9 beadlocks
You have too choices. You can either pack the tyres out with a larger size or add an inner ring of closed cell EPP packing foam. Easy enough to cut using two sharpened food/drink cans. Here's a mates video where he went for the larger size to fill the tyres on his heavy rig ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yMwhosy6Qyo.html
The hair bun donuts were actually softer than single stage foams that were installed before. At 99p each they were worth a try and they have the benefit of not rotting away when immersed in water. I now use them in all my crawlers
