The shocks get mounted at the top to the inside of the gusseted rear cage pieces, sandwiching the shock, ball and retainer between the two gussets that come down from the cage.
Also, on any Axial Shocks with the Silicone Rubber upper Bushing.... If you use a 3x5mm Brass Bushing, always found in Tamiya Kits - and you slip that through the middle of the Axial Rubber Bit, the Tamiya Bushing has a 3mm hole that the Shock Screw fits right through, and it's just long enough, so that the Axial Bushing will NEVER over collapse and restrict Shock movement, again!! 😊
