Awesomeness, Jordan Rudess' video made me spend the $500, this and a whole bunch of other videos are getting me soo excited about getting it. 3 more days! woo! Thanks for posting this video
OMG!!! LOL! I've seen this video and been watching the Axis for quite some time! I've also been following your finger drumming since your track got put out on DJ tech tools. I had no idea, until just now, that this was you who did the Axis demo! Awesome!
Honestly I wouldn't know how to prove it, all I can say is that I recorded 2 different videos for right and left hand parts, and I obviously synced the audio tracks during the movie editing process. So it's not that perfect, but it's not a fake! What would be the fun in that!? :)
FYI to everyone, the company that makes the Axis is going out of biz this january and they are selling all their Axis49's for 50% off (500$ reduced down to 250$). I'll be buying two if I can. :D Great work on the vid btw! Def would not have guessed your not a pianist... ;p Yay Isomorphic keyboards!
I agree, looks like it's fake but not so fake... I mean, probably the notes he plays are the right ones, but they are crearly edited/quantized to get the feeling he couldn't get while playing... The audio of edited midi version was pasted in the audiotrack of the syched videos. End of story... Well at least he efforted a bit... :-)
Enjoyed that piece, you play it fluently which is good to see and hear! I wouldn't have known you're not a keyboard player; what's your main instrument? My main instrument's guitar but I love experimenting with this layout, when I have an instrument - I had to dismantle my 'Gecko' for parts to build another one - oh well, back to guitar for now!
@75egcg I see you haven't heard of the harmonic table. :p Anything that a human can play on a piano a significantly less skilled one should be able to play on an instrument layed out this way. The main limitations are the size and key limit of the particular hardware.
Well...I guess my so called main instrument would be clarinet, but I don't really got a main instrument...first of all I'm an electronic musician and producer, and I play a little bit of guitar, bass, keyboard, drums...ecc. ;)
Wow, where did you get an axis? I've looked online and there are so few vendors for this machine. The axis 49 is something like $500! Did you pay that much?
Set up the notes to play in chronological order in sequence to song. Thus pressing any keys looking good to the rhythm of the song will play it. Win win. √7
this is pretty awesome, but how could that be a practical instrument? Can human hands even be dynamic enough to operate songs like that in real time as one player?
that is not fake. coz shock mansion featured him. and shock mansion don't featured fakes! and im totally high right now. and im going to sleep. and im going to wake up early and bake again.
