I have enjoyed reading all of Aayan’s incredible books. As a Christian, it helped me understand Islam. I have prayed for this outstanding and courageous woman for years. That she will know the love of our Saviour and Lord, and be filled with his wonderful Holy Spirit. If you claim to understand a religion from someone who is highly subjective, doesn't step back from lies and only has her own interpretation, then you are happy with a distorted representation. Why don't you try to understand something from the source itself. Pathetic
She isn't believing on resurrection and rapture of Jesus Christ, not even on his historical existence. She is merely pretending to be a Christian for diplomatic reasons, but thats true with all religious people anyhow.
have you asked her what her views on the resurrection are? she has said she is using christianity for political purposes, i seems she doesn't believe in anything particularly, just what gets her whatever it is she is after.
FYI, she has be OUT of politics a long time. No clue what you’re on about. Resurrection is about renewal and redemption-tge very essence of Christianity-so if she embraces Christianity, she embraces that as well-which is understandable.
For me Ayaan is an absolutely brave and beautiful woman. I'm sure after the struggling path she's been through she'll forever be defender of modernity and common sense. Whatever makes her at peace with herself, may she find it
odd cos she was muslim, well possibly muslim, then atheist, but possibly not atheist, and maybe a christian? has she said she believes the resurrection? i don't recall.....she's walking proof that religists are gullible.
@@HarryNicNicholas Not talking about her specifically but that's usually how it goes. When people leave a religion they usually become atheist, that usually creates a spiritual vacuum which is then filled with another religion. But she was wise to choose Christianity. Know them by their fruits.
This is amazingly brave. I recall AHA saying a few years ago that we should get used to the idea that: 'We're it. There is no spiritual realm. Perfect yourself while you are alive'. As one person said after attending a Christian exploration programme: 'For the first time in my life I feel normal'.
at no point does she say she believe the resurrection, she's a political christian, she used the muslims, she used the atheists and now she's using christians, great stuff, more religious hypocrisy, we atheists love it.

She has the right to exp,lore whatever she feels is best, and if Christianity "makes sense" to her so far, and is helping her psychologically, then be happy for her, let her explore some more, and if she is sincere, surely she will find out more, or even have a personal spiritual experience someday... Divine is real, and the atheism only gets you so far, as she has started seeing. Have a look at some NDE experiences, you may find them interesting.

really, you were maybe a muslim, then maybe a an atheist and now maybe a christian who hasn't stated if she believes the core foundations of christianity, but has said she's using it for political purposes? religists really are gullible.
I have been aware of this incredibly brave, intelligent, remarkable woman and her work for a number of years, but never fully understood what she went through and accomplished until I read Infidel, which I just finished. I grew up in New England, and am Caucasian. My childhood hero was Harriet Tubman and I never tired of reading and re-reading Runaway Slave. I was so moved by her bravery: she risked her own life and liberty many times, to bring others along the Underground Railroad to freedom. Now, many decades on, I have found another hero in the person of Ayaan Hirsi Ali. May she be blessed and protected and able to continue her sacred mission for years to come. Her commitment and tenacity to do what's right in the face of so much (at times very dangerous) adversity is a rare thing. I don't know the exact quote but Harriet Tubman was purported to have said that she freed 1000 slaves and she could have freed 1000 more if only they knew they were slaves. Perhaps there is some kind of parallel there for women who are oppressed by Islam and their families/culture.

I find it interesting how people spew so much negativity and even hatred on Ayaan, just because she "dared" to explore Christianity and EVEN!!! liking it so far... Its really beyond me. They cheer her up as an independent thinker only when she is in-line with some preconceived ideas and stays within the atheist framework. As soon as she dares to go beyond that framework to explore further, she is suddenly not cheered as a free thinker anymore.

Most or all of these atheists share 1 thing in common: introduction to a horrible facsimile of God at a young age that jaded them to where they are. Once they EXPERIENCE who He really is, they all come back to Him.

I would never bash the Christian God or any faiths God , nor would I praise as well that which requires faith , not evidence . If one single all important prayer was answered , faith would be gone . I dont have to respect your beliefs . I'll respect your right to hold those beliefs. But the beliefs themselves command no inherent respect .
I would praise that which brings good results, because “A good tree beareth good fruit”. I would go further and say good fruit is more valuable to man’s well-being than “evidence”.
It's so disappointing that she had to go back to religion after a brief episode of atheism. The funniest part is that she likes her new God better than the old. Does she believe in Allah and Elohim/Yahweh as separate gods of which only one is to be worshipped? Most Muslims would at least agree that Christians and Jews have the same God. For monotheists there is only one living God - the one who created the world.
And there it is.. even a person as Intelligent and decent as Aayan is just as human, and hence as frail as the rest of us.. and that right there is why mono theistic religion is as successful as it is.. preying on the emotionally vulnerable.. none of which of course remotely proves a deity actually exists.. only highlighting the fragility of the human condition.. Hitch would be very disappointed.

how is islam a sinking ship? the knock more kids out then pretty much anyone, athiesm is set to be at around 16% of the worlds population then drop again simply because atheists just don't seem to have any kids.
There was separation of church and state in Islam. It was the Caliphate. Imperfect but it was a moderating factor. The Turks got rid of it and the edicts of the mosques gained total sway.
