Good topics. I think Ayaneo really missed the mark with DMG style device. It looks amazing but out over kill. Put a G99 Helio and charge half the price for it, then maybe. The pocket device they having coming out looks awesome! Really depends on the price. A premium “Pocket device” sounds awesome. Let’s hope they don’t ask $400 for it

The psp, vita, win 4, and now odin 2 mini are one of the few devices where the white just looks soo good(this doesnt mean, the other colors looks bad, but in the case of win 4, and odin 2 mini...). And now, that there is an odin 2 mini, im thinking about if there is going to be a SteamDeck mini?(i know there wont be) Or a smaller x86 handheld like the win600, i know this wont happen too, because there are no amd apus with that tdp, unfortunately(aside from the SteamDeck, but its sweetspot is 11/2+W)(and i said amd apus, because SteamOS). And the ayaneo micro looks good, even tho i dont really like their design(will be like 175-275$ tho without shipping and vat,i think) aside from the ayaneo 2/s where the white looked good too and now the micro. But the pocket dmg's touchpad is interesting.

Firstly I just want to say thank you to everyone involved in making this King Kong giveaway possible. I'm grateful for the opportunity to win a super nice controller from Retro Handhelds and the good folks at AKNES. Y'all rock. If I win I will definitely appreciate the irony of using a pro grade controller that's worth a lot more than the tablet and phone I'll be using it with. Is that really irony or is that more like Alanis Morissette's irony? I don't know. All I know is that most weddings take place in Spring and I have pollen allergies, so, honestly, I'd like some rain on my wedding day. IRT the Livestream: Zu's segment was a lot of laughs. I hope he keeps it up. All y'all did a great job of keeping the proceedings entertaining and informative. I regret not making a "Decks out for Harambe" joke in the live chat. The French have a term for that particular regret: "L'esprit de l'escalier" or "staircase wit". It's the feeling of thinking of the perfect joke or comeback as you're headed up the stairs to bed. The very best handheld is the one you're currently playing. The second best is probably the Odin 2 Mini. I'm still on the RG556 train too, especially for the money, but if cost was no object for me I'd have ordered a Mini tonight. That thing is exactly what I want out of a portable PlayStation. It makes the Portal look even dumber by comparison. I've eaten cheesecakes that weren't as dense as the Sony executive who approved the Portal project.

Awesome podcast as always! Need to wake up in time for the next week's episode. My Game Boy Micro has been going with me ever since the fourth grade so the first time I saw it, that Ayaneo Pocket Micro did to me what the RG35XX SP did to all GBA SP fans. However the reality was quick to slap me in the face and I realized it's for a completely different usecase than my Micro. Maybe if it was smaller, didn't have those sticks and most importantly would cost less, it would be an instabuy from me just for the nostalgia factor. That RG35XX SP is probably the closest thing that will replace the GB Micro as my daily. Interested to see how that hinge will hold up. Don't have any real doubts for the quality, but just being cautious. - MegaBarrakuda (For the giveaway :P)

The PiMax Portal QLED screen is kind of amazing but quality is very dependent on dimming zones and PiMax states QLED + miniLED so I'm not sure what is marketing versus the technology. With the lower settings it feels like a good IPS panel but nothing special. With the extreme settings it is in the AMOLED ballpark though with quirks. Not true black, viewing angles still can't come close to AMOLED screens and there's haloing around really dark and really light objects. Not like viewing angles really matter with a handheld unless it has dual screen with one tilted. Battery life and ergonomics hopefully will be okay. AYN has done well to earn back trust in less than a year so hopefully that trend continues and it's really nice to see the ultimate Sony handheld. For other systems, I'd probably go with the regular Odin 2 but I'm hoping we'll see an option to upgrade the screen at some point. Fair point about price and x86 emulation. Even now, RPS3 and Cemu on M4 13 inch iPad pro with tandem OLED screens, when that happens, it'll be quite the day.

For all the reasons Stubbs is not recommending replacing your Odin 2 with the mini, he confirms several times that is exactly what he will be doing
