Ayreon Everybody Dies (Live) REACTION by Songs and Thongs 

The guy with the funny hat is Michael Mills. The same guy who does the binary 0101001 part of the "The day that wolrd breaks down" song! He is awesome!! Arjen is awesome!! and you guys are awesome too!

Arjen is very much a studio guy…he has stage fright, though he does perform in these live Ayreon shows here and there. The live shows are mostly organized and produced by Joost Van Den Broek, the keyboard player. He is pretty brilliant himself, having formerly played keyboards in a band called After Forever that featured a young vocalist named Floor Jansen. He has also produced albums by Epica, Blind Guardian, and a host of others, and worked with Floor on her latest solo material. Oh, and he was knighted by the Dutch royals, so I guess he’s SIR Joost.

Even if you only got a short time of Floor here you got her sister the whole song doing backup vocals 😊

Those Ayreon live shows are mostly managed by Joost, the keyboard player. He's also a knighted by the Dutch Royals.

The guy with lasers on his head is the same guy who sang the computer binary code in The Day That The World Breaks Down - Michael Mills. ;) To fully enjoy this song you have to listen to it like 20 times to really get all the transitions, because everything happens so fast and unexpectedly. It has become one of my most favorite songs EVER. As you said - it´s so fun even though it is about huge catastrophe, and the level of musicianship is unbelievable. They had to practice their asses off to play this live like it´s nothing. And they are all basically like the all stars at the NHL annual event - the best of the best. And according to their statements in the DVD, they were so much looking forward to this event, and they loved every second they were there - like a family. What an experience this show must have been for everybody - audience and musicians! This concert was the only concert i went to that i rate a 11 this was the BEST.

Yes, they are all brilliant!!!! And this is all composed by our nutty brilliant professor Arjen Lucassen. You definitely should try to witness a live concert from him. It is a life changer. After witnessing one concert I made the solemn promise to never miss another one.

"Who writes stuff like this?" LOL Actually, when it comes to the arrangement, give some credit to the keyboardist here : Joost van den Broek ... SIR Joost van den Broelk. Arjen credits him with much of the translation to the live performance, and there is much afoot here. I love how the instruments will drop back when key vocals are present (e.g. Floor's bit).. That's all Joost. And one more shot out. The guiy on the 7-string/baritone guitar : Ferry Duijsens It's his playing that sets up that wonderful, almost swing-beat between himself and the drummer. I woud get so lost in that rhythm that I would surely muck it up. Both Ferry and the bassist (Johan Von Stratum) just swing right through like "Oh. This awesomeness?? Yes, we do this every day!" If you wanted to explore something that is not getting much YT attention, I woul seek out one of HIS projects... I haven't looked into it yet, but it's running up higher on my to-be-investigated list. You two have fun.. it's off to work for me.

Who is she? She is the sister of the tall girl on the left in the backing vocal group, Irene Jansen. Her name is Floor Jansen. 😂

There's so much more for you to explore in Arjen's Universe. One recommendation from the same concert, that you guys really need to see is one with a heavy Nightwish presence.. "Ayreon Universe - Age of Shadows Live at Tilburg 2017" Love Sharlene's mention of Floor's little sister Irene (who is even slightly taller). Another stellar singer in that backing vocal trio is Marcela Bovio. This is a brilliant song. One of the best made ever. I am most impressed with the drummer though. I have seen him here and in other parts of the show, and the teaser "The day when the world breaks down". He is just so "natural". He blends in like some kind of ninja, or something. The playing is so dynamic and fits totally perfect. After a while you even forget he is there. Its magic.

Im sure the OF is great, but I want to see more of Harry!! lol If you like Ayreon try Twisted Coil (live). Its from an earlier live show and has only one singer.. Not Foor! Its sung by Damian Wilson, who has a powerful voice as well. At the end he reaches Floor like levels of belting, its Amazing, honestly one of the best live performances from any of Arjens projects.

Findely ive have been waiting for this one,but there is more Ayreon who will going thru your speakers. But Arjen him self have been buzzy in those days,you guys have to sheck out Stream of passions with Marcela Bovio and her sister in the vocals,and if you search up Stream of passions live in the real world day eleven love its some of those few melodys who Arjen are singing,you have to sheck this up.....

Again late, but... So yes, yes and yes! Arjen is the genius author and ringleader of this spectacular circus. And you know how difficult is the translation between studio and live performance. EVERY number in this live performance is brilliant and worthy of your/our attention. A side note - Arjen is, I believe, the originator and master purveyor of the (should be patented) precision application of the Floor Bomb near the end of otherwise spectacular compositions. You can watch the live show on RU-vid. It’s basically a rock/metal/prog opera based on a sci-fi story that Arjen came up with. It’s a good time. Some songs are short. Some longer. They all tell a piece of the story.

I am one of the dissenters - I do apologise if I caused any offence - I joined RU-vid during the lockdown during a very difficult time for my Family and having found you both amongst others enjoy and continue to enjoy your reactions - but do please try to keep most reactions on RU-vid - money is a problem in this particular moment for many people. Michael Mills is the guy with the crazy outfit. He is all in playing the role of TH-1, the computer. Wait until you check out "Star of Sirrah" from this same show.
