Love both Jonas and Anneke's voices. They balance each other so well. The song is brilliant also, and the backing singers are phenomenal. Glad you are persisting with Ayreon, definitely worth it.

What algorithm?? LOL Jonas Renske (Katatonia, Bloodbath, ex-October Tide) and Anneke are the main singers. Yes, Floor's sister ,is on the left. Lisette van den Berg (Scarlet Stories), and Marcela Bovio (MaYan, Stream of Passion) are the other 2 backup singers. Wolf, the bass player is Johan van Stratum. He plays ,or has played , in Vuur with Anneke, and Stream of passion with Marcela. Jonas and Anneke are the vocalists on the studio version too. From the 2008 album 01011001. Johan van Stratum seems to have been part of almost every Dutch metal band/project/whatever. He was also a session bassist for Christmas Metal Symphony 2013 and for the second ReVamp album. Interestingly, he's not part of Marcela's project Dark Horse White Horse. Dunno why, maybe he doesn't like horses. Or maybe he doesn't like Marcela, as they're divorced since 2018 or so.. :) (Unlikely, because they've just revamped Stream of Passion again). Bloke's just everywhere.

Well, let me think... 😉 Seriously though, all singers in this show are guest singers for the project, but some of them have been working with Arjen on other projects of his as well. In this song Jonas Renkse and Anneke van Giersbergen came out and Jonas is a Swedish musician playing in 3 different bands as a bassist, drummer, vocalist, and songwriter, while Anneke became known for her role as lead vocalist and guitarist in the Dutch rock band The Gathering, and she started her own band later on. The only thing missing from this performance was an egg shaker imho, but hey, ya can't have it all, right? Enjoyed the reaction! Stay safe and stay healthy! ~Mike H.
