Y he tenido algunos momentos con él.
For me Fangio is the one and only undisputed champion of all times. I have a great respect for Senna, Clark, Stuart, Hill, Schumacher, Prost and many others but Fangio was more than a champion and an excellent driver. He was The Driver.
not to mention when Fangio won the championships he did it in cars with out any safety not even a seat belt. the cars were not just very unsafe but not to close to the ground with big wheels etc etc. And Fangio was considered old , he was winning races and championships at the age of 46 or 47 I believe. quite impressive !!! he was without a doubt a champion inside and outside of the race track. A truly humble man.
@@alexcheetah79 it's also hard because fangio started as a rookie at 38 and raced till 47 and still won 5 titles. That's literally impossible to do in any era and has never been seen and will never be seen.
This guy charisma was really impressive. Those students seems like in hypinotic state. Remember me of Joe Ramirez, whose even being his friend for years, he felt like "wow!, Ayrton Senna!" everytime he saw him in the paddock.
Beautiful clip. Thank you! Senna had been invited by Professor Sid Watkins to speak at his old school in Scotland and by all accounts he proved an outstanding speaker, keeping the young audience spellbound. This is a perfect example of the real Ayrton Senna - modest, thoughtful, articulate, and appreciative of his fellow drivers. He visited the Jim Clark museum, incognito, on the same trip.
+justaprojection right he was up to the task bearing in mind that the protestant schools of scotland are the most demanding schools in europe . Just look at those kids they all had nerd faces .
Cierto.
Ayrton Senna.
Senna said: Fangio is The best. Fangio said: Senna os The best. Tina sang a song to Ayrton: The best at the last Ayrton’s Victoy in Australian Grand Prix 1993. Both desserve be called The Best.
Fangio, world champion in 4 different brands, that proves that he is the best driver of all time, without the car but his skills, in addition to running 8 seasons and out champion in 5
He always had the best car or at least one of the top 3 cars durings his career. But still he is is one of the greatest drivers of all time. But in my opinion Senna is the greatest driver of all time. Imagine Senna joining one of the best teams like Mclaren or Williams in his debut like Hamilton or Vettel of these days. He wouldve won easily a couple of more championchips until 94 alone, and if he not died he certainly wouldve won a t least 1-2 titles more. Evene Hill almost won against Schumacher in 1994, imagine what Senna woulve done if he had not that bad luck with his car and the steering column woulve not broken. In 1994 Williams almost won with Hill, in 1996 Hiil indeed won with Williams and then Villeneuve won with Williams in 1997. What do you think who wouldve won those champinchips instead if Senna would have not died? Another 3 or 4 Championships were absoltely possible for him, and then he wouldve have the most and Schuhmacher a couple less World champchionchips if Senna had not died. Im absolutely sure he just wouldve done that.
I think Fangio was the smartest F1 driver of his time. Apart for driving, he might had been good in setting cars and most importantly, he clearly understood in which team he needs to drive to win. His last race at Nurbergring wherein he won using 1 stop strategy vs Ferrari's no stop strategy, also shows how intelligent he was.
I think Sennas legacy is like uncle Jim's fishing trip, gets bigger every year. He was good, but lets be honest, even his defining moment as rainmaster at the washed out monaco GP was a stretch, Bellof was lapping faster than Senna and Prost, despite qualifying last in the worst car.
It is very difficult to class one driver the 'best' as opposed to others. I think what is possible is to pick out the very top drivers. I think this is Fangio, Senna and Schumacher. Each had different achievements, but each were profound and astonishing achievements that set them apart from other drivers.
@@Mr-Yan. but it's still different era's, in the 80's, 90's every f1 driver had years of experience, in Senna's case he started gokarting at the age of 4 and was in his rookie season i believe at the age of 24, Fangio on the other hand had his rookie season at the age of 38 which would literally be impossible in any other era, so their are multiple things to take into account when comparing drivers, that's why we can't settle the goat debate, instead of comparing the greats enjoy them
Again, his raw talent was unparalleled. Senna..... the race that forged his name was only spoken of as his car passed Prost, if people want to be realistic, 84 monaco was a Bellof show.
As everybody knows, a brazilian can understand most of the spanish language and viceversa. So I think it will be just fine to translate the short speech about Fangio Senna made at this event into the spanish language. I will do it sooner than later.
Best human being I have seen! Drove F1 cars with less horsepower than Maclaren and Willians ( lotus) And scored! Best Driver? Oh yes! Thats why his Helmet has the BOSS The actual pilot Lewis Hamilton has him as the best ever! Even Shumacher said that! Best first lap on formula one , donington park 1993. Monaco 6 times x Drove in any surface with mastery - rain? drove better than dry surfaces! 3 world titles? who cares! He drove with one hands only and manual shifter in the best time in F1 ever! Alain Prots was Good? No he was Great pilot! For the second one I had seen! That's why Ayrton Senna was better! because they worked this amazing great times! Alain was a great pilot, together with Fangio Mansel, Piquet etc etc.
I think Senna might have ducked the question there...he was asked about his "fellow competitors", but Fangio had long retired by that point and wasn't a "fellow competitor".
Well with all respect. Number 1 is Ayrton Senna. Number 2 Jim Clark Number 3 maybe Fangio or Tazio Nuvolari. I dont care what titles they won. Its about how they destroy their competitors in their time period. Fangio never really beat Alberto Ascari. When Ascari died they both had 2 titles. But Senna and Clark and Nuvolari beat everybody with 2 fingers in their noses
"But Senna and Clark and Nuvolari beat everybody with 2 fingers in their noses" Yeah, not really. 1992 season - Senna must have put too many fingers in his nose... He didn't beat Prost in 1989 and 1993 as well. He was a great driver, for sure, but not greater champion than Fangio.
