My theory is to how Senna was so fast in Monaco was the throttle blips, which always ensured that he would be on the power most of the time and Monaco is one of the slowest tracks on the F1 calendar in terms of top speed. Senna maintaining a consistent pace would mean he would shave a tenth at every corner.

@@Janfey For Sure, but it was done by Senna to keep the 'Turbo' spooling' so as to reduce lag out the corners and also to reduce the way the Turbo Torque kicked in. This is Lotus with the Honda 1.5 Turbo [older version] and Senna used the ''active suspension''. Schumacher did it due to always setting his Car's up ''pointedly'' meaning they had much more oversteer, on his theory that it made the chassis go 'neutral'' in high speed corners and he would blip the throttle in the low speed ones, to keep the suspension moving around, i.e. unsettle the Car in the Low Speed ones on its suspension, so that the Oversteer he had dialled in was much less noticeable..

Me lembra meu corsinha 1.6 com turbina 42/48. Pelos 2.500 começava a encher. No instante seguinte colava no banco.

Driving and technology 100% analog. The end of an other era. "Fangio//Senna" The whole body as multi sensor and the brain as a processor + guts, a lot of guts! Driving fast wasn't enough if the pilot couldn't save the car; the engine, brakes and tires. Ayrton started driving kart a the age of 4 and racing at 8 with drivers 15//18 and professionally at age of 13. Rest in the glory! 🌷🧉🗿

I was going give up moto gp bikes in 1988 to go to the elf winfield school to get into F2 F3 then hopefully to F1 i could imagine...an i did watching that Aryton a i a hard headed italian would have butted heads...as he did with all fellow drivers...he was an unbelievable talent especially how good he made himself in the wet...most know he sucked in the wet...so he worked on it day an nite to be the rainmaster...that alone is worthy merit for legendary status....
