+Ryan J. Before I even listen to AZ today for the first time ever. To say I'm a huge Pac fan.I would've argue with you. But AZ is the goat!! Dude is a problem!!
Never to busy blasting incoherent mumble fuckers...i wont even call them rappers or artist cause there just drug addicts with record deals... Remeber the days an artist was so intelligent it required deciphering to understand there lines..gone are those days
At the beginning of his career, to me, lyric for lyric, on par with Nas. His 'appeal factor' just wasn't there. Highly lauded by fans and his peers. But not necessarily by the big industry players.
@@goodmanfilife9131 definitely. Throughout his career AZ shown (imo) that he could go toe to toe with about any other legend or great. Dude been legit.
+Oth3rside yeah, i often ask this question to myself. if tupac was alive, I bet he'd still do featurings with drake and lil wayne and all these other bullshit rapers, but what to do man - that's life.
Az is one of the best story tellers of all time , nas is a great too. Wu tang, biggie, Fuck it; the whole east coast in the 90s had a story to tell. That was the greatest era ever! One Luv!
Damn taking me back to high school. Coogi and Avirex Jackets, I love it. Sadly when this released i swear i only saw it twice on t.v. I constantly waited for this video to play but no luck. Instead i had to sit there and watch Nelly videos in hopes that this would come up next on BET. Thank God theres RU-vid now.
that's because the industry had an agenda to block any hip hop artist that spoke about what it takes to be a man. AZ was conscious. Not only was he conscious but he had the rapping abilities to go toe to toe to even Jay. But the industry can't really make money bumping AZ drop jewels VS Nelly programming a whole generation of girls to be smuts. If it wasn't for the internet people like Lupe Fiasco would have died down to oblivion for the same reason
Facts 💯% 😐 our ppl so quick to demoralize & break one another down its ridiculous and lame as hell, time to change that way of thinking & living but unfortunately nowadays it's like a sport especially in this age of the internet/social media platforms when ppl can hide behind their computer keyboard SMDH 😌✌.
My cousin just passed and the bond we had was strong due to music. He was 8 years older than me, he was surprised when he found out I was a true hip hop head. We grew closer due to this, always trying to one up each other with tracks.
AZ will forever be on my very shortlist of greatest mcs and as cliche as it is to say it there's no denying he's criminally underappreciated...but to me he's such an amazing mc that if anyone is talking greatest mcs and u don't mention AZ u ain't hip hop to me..just the lyrics alone on this classic still literally gives me chills but then the Debarge sample with El who has one of the most beautiful voices ever takes this one over the top
people dont know AZ was a big time hustler back in the day at a young age. he said Back in the day I did dirt but I hid my work. Hes telling you he had the sweetest connect in his rhymes. Hes at the table with Jay Z for a reason....He was a boss.
I'm from Jersey, and know cat's from BK. They co-signed this info. This is why he is so well respected in the game. He was making moves back in the day quietly. If you listen to some of his lyrics, he's telling you. AZ brought foxy brown to the table with NAS. He was and still is the man. One of my favorite MC's.
+NYCmadeME Yeah he making moves quietly, making money quietly and doing his thing. I try to tell people, he been in the game for a long time, moving from borough to borough. BK cat went to queens to find NAS and NAS put him on. Seems like he's cool with everybody.
there really isnt much to re-master dude its basic as fuck lol, nice but fucking BASIC, aint no depth to hear on good headphones or speakers, its more for AZ's rapping that you wanna listen to
I remember when this song came out I was bumping the shit out of it all the time! This is when Hip Hop was Hip Hop! AZ will always be one of my favorite rappers from the East Coast...😎✌🤘
I love seeing comments of ppl who appreciate real hip-hop and bars... says a lot about character and those who really have a ear for it.. keep doing yall. Az the legend.. you knoooow!
Doe or Die is a Klassik & dis is DOPE, but he came out the Golden era so Nas, Red.a .eth & Rea of Wu- Tang Biggie,Jaz-Z & Smooth da hustler were peers but he overlooked but 'Real heads know' he gets his flowers
Yes indeed just 1 of Mr. AZ classic joints that I love 💯❤😌 he is 1 of the best to ever pick up a 🎤 👑 my era ( 80s,90s and early 2000s) was Liit as the youngins say today and the Real Hip Hop & RnB artists back then was churning out the hitz one after the other and they're now classics 💯% Facts 😉 unfortunately I don't see that happening with the music of today 😔✌.
I remmember smokin mad Blunts to this joint back in the year 2000. Shit was official. I was walkin around bumpin this in a little Radio Shack tape recorder, sellin nickle backs out my fire escape, with the throwback Boom Box. Az the Visualizaa.🤑
What happened to this world? This was when shit was normal. This song was a banger. Even though it’s 2001... still 90’s in flow/style. 90’s were the last decade of realness.
I love the contrast in this video, let alone the humongous rhyme and beat festival; the white and the black, up and balling to the down and trying. AZ, you is a god, just like Pac, Bigs, Nas and others. Live long and good, u’ll always be acknowledged and listened to. Salute.
